Well both phones have different approach and price tag for that matter

But even I have these two on my Top shelf

V20 over OP3T
1.Way better Camera & Camcorder handsdown (infact i prefer this camcorder over any smartphone till now)Top tier!!
2.Audio Experience (best audio Experience thanks to quad DAC)
3.Swappable Battery (not that it matters much now a days still a plus with replacable back cover)
4.Dedicated MicroSD expansion(not using sim 2 if dual,rare these days )
5.QHD screen over FHD


Well these were the highlighted one's

OP3T over V20
1.Very Inexpensive (reasonable price)
2.Better Dev Support(updates and custom roms)
3.6GB RAM over 4GB(good for future , doesn't matters as much for now)
4.Higher Capacity Battery and Dash Charging is better then QC3.0
5.Unibody Aluminum
6.Better Resale(as of now due to pricing but depends on market though)
7.Oxygen UI is much better then LGUX in terms of performance (although its not noticable and is a matter of perspective Themed? or Near Stock?)



Well in Summary I love both phones but my affection goes to V20 it's a amazing beast totally fit according to my needs (hence the perspective),OP3T is a well desired phone which makes V20 rare a headturner for me at least for now(not if it ended up having same fate as V10)the only thing I dont like about V20 is the Display I never liked LG's cool bluish green toned QHD IPS displays since G3 when you put these next to AMOLED they look odd,it depends on person though some people prefer bluish tone while i prefer punchy saturated vibrant colors deep blacks and warm whites but then again IPS or AMOLED getting a perfect display you desire is always a lottery, because every Display unit has different tint to it, even iPhones have inherited this since days of iPhone 4 (nobody noticed much before retina'l phase)

Other then the display V20 has these unique features no phone other then LG has if you are looking for a phone for capturing photos making amazing videos and listening superb plugged in music, go for V20(considering these features ill let display slide in a snap)

If you seek a cheaper alternative and and Google Pixel like customizable UI being dual SIM on all variants go for op3t (considering market now I'd pick OP3T over V20 of you have extra dough then it's something else)


These price comparisons were made keeping 64GB and Dual Sim Variants of both phones

If you were asking for 128GB OP3T considering its price I would pick V20 blindfolded

V20 was my choice of phone after using g4 for 1.5year but s8 got unveiled and i cann't look at other phones all look ugly to me.

Don't get V20, stay clear from LG. I bought their Nexus 5X, which started having unfixable bootloop issues soon after my purchase along with the LG V10 and G4. Thankfully I sold my unit before it got the bootloop, bought OP3T as a replacement today and it is a beast. V20 has reported some bootloop cases too which will only increase in the upcoming months as the lifecycle of the device advances (generally the LG devices get the bootloop after a year of use).

OP's question was V20 or OP3T ? I think S7 is out of question,Its about personal preference,I dont know if you had used these or not but I had S7 Edge twice and yes it came second in my top battery smartphones after 6s Plus now might be 7 Plus(didn't used it cant live without 3.5mm but will give it a try smday 4sure)

So I am wondering why you quoted my post?? Once again if it ever came down to OP3T vs V20 ill always pick V20 blindfolded

Its a tough choice both are excellent competitors.

LG V20 gets points for:
- better camera setup (dual rear camera) with optical image stabilization (OIS)
- military grade certified - the company says it is more durable because the battery will pop out in case of any drop to disperse the shock you can see drop tests on youtube.
- first phone to run with nougat, features nougat out of the box- microSD slot (oneplus 3t doesnt have this)



Oneplus 3T gets points for:
- price
- AMOLED display (more vivid in certain conditions)
- stock android

The 6GB ram is a gimmick really, at one time the phone only uses 4GB of it so there you go.

It all comes down to your personal choice, both devices are capable enough. The better camera prize goes to V20 and if you put the phones side by side, I personally think V20 manages to attract with its looks. On other hand Oneplus has stock android experience and a screen that some (not all) users may like better.

Oh Sure I'll make it easier for you since you brought up S7 Edge in Comparison I'll add it too ,and under similar specs and performance I am using P9 Plus so I'll add it too,I'll add the winner on top and the follow ups

Since I Don't know what feature is your primary target I'll focus on main features

Display :

• 1.S7 Edge hands down the best
• 2.P9 Plus
• 3.One Plus 3T
• 4.LG V20

Well its how I like these some might even put V20 on top but I dig saturation and warm tones and both V20 and OP3T have bluish tint(white balance can be adjusted in settings though)

Battery :

• S7 Edge
• P9 Plus
• V20
• OP3T

S7E Exynos and Huawei Kirin are both good with power I left V20 in third because of battery swapability(you can have either two batteries with charge kit or one 3rd party with doubled amperes )

Camera :
Well this here is totally a hard decision V20,P9Plus,S7E all three are great performers and OP3T follows up in last
But If I had to Choose

• 1.V20
• 2.P9 Plus
• 3.S7 Edge
• 4.OP3t

Now don't get me wrong Samsung has great camera sometimes the best in market but with Samsung phones the display and camera is always a lottery you will never know it is the one with Sony IMX sensor or Samsung ISO-Cell until you install AID64 on your phone,People usually prefer Sony,Back in 2014 I got Note4 and I won the camera Lottery with it but display had slight pinkish tint to it while my cousin's note 4 cam wasn't as good then he bought note 5 and my note 4 camera smoked note 5 still hence the lottery

But then again all of this is personal preference
V20 is kept on top because of vast array of manual features in Video and Photo mode even for audio

I'll attach P9 sample as well and the sample of my legendary note 4 which I regret selling


4.Performance
Well let's not get a head of ourselves in day to day use you'll barely any of these beasts slow down but if we were to pick a one among them I would pick OP3T
Not because it has 6GB of Ram only because the buttery super smooth experience of stock UI is not comparable to other 3 so

• 1.One Plus 3
• 2.V20
• 3.S7 Edge
• 4.P9 Plus

I kept P9 in end only because of UI non of these phones are slow or laggy some might like the features of themed counter part more(for eg Samsung's scroll capture feature I miss it every now and then)

5.Audio
V20 is the best period if I was comparing Axon7 I'll leave that in second place other 3 quite the same although stereo speakers on P9 are great I didn't check the 3.5mm output yet

Rest is just on a person

Pricing
For S7 Edge I would wait for S8 to drop it's prices
For LG I would wait for G6 although its already here but if you V20 to grab it grab it sooner before you end up buying the refurb unit (for instance every G4,V10 in market now are refurb yet people keep on giving LG hard time about bootloops,yes happened to originals too but a refurb is a refurb,I remember Samsung refurb phones getting signal issues there are tons of em out there)
Huawei is expensive for 60k for new if anyone is interested I am selling one super cheap

OP3T is at best price in many online Stores for New but for used sellers seem to ignore price of new
