Hey guys,
i created this thread for the purpose of teaching you the basics of drawings like anatomy, prespectives and values. If you people are interested i'll post my basic practice i do on sketches and you can learn from there. Let me know if you are interested and i'll get start on it. You have to follow what i do and i'll give you couple of exercises aswell and post in this thread.

p.s Most of my anatomy figure drawings contains nudity i can censor if you want me.

Reasons:

1)I want to educate people who are new to art or at beginners and show you my techniques which i create concept art.

2) Another reason is that this section is regular as compare to CGexpanse.com [Pakistan website] even though i'm frequent user at Conceptart.org and 3dtotal.com, well i thought people love to draw over here.

@ Reaper: I can do it on digital but for the beginners, traditional is the best way to go. I tend to switch between traditional and digital. My random sketches are done on sketchbook.

Ok guys I'll start from very basic like for practicing line quality and prespective grids. It will be kinda boring becoz you won't start with some cool portraits and landscapes but believe me this will really help you in drawing shapes and figure later on.

DAY 1:

Practicing line quality.

I used Photoshop because of quality of picture. Anyway you should use sketchbook.

Well the first thing that comes in your mind.. what m i looking at? well this is to demonstrate to draw bunch of lines on your sketchbook to improve the line quality and also draw various circles and ovals. For beginners you might not get a good line stroke but if you keep practicing eventually you'll see amazing results.
Purpose of this exercise is to make sure that you get a good handling when drawing with good line quality. Try it and keep practicing random lines.

One point perspective.

1: Draw horizon line and in the centre label the vanishing point, all parallel lines converge to the same vanishing point.

2: I draw bunch lines from the vanishing point

3: As you can see i have put some sticks on the left side just to get an idea of sense of scale and adding little character everything feels in proportion of perspective. Also if you look at the right side you can imagine a side walk track.

Two Point perspective.

1: I draw horizon line and connecting two lines to make it look like triangle, dropping the centre line.

2: Draw the lines as you can see in the picture.

3: Now you can start to see a box in a two point prespective.

Three point perspective

This type of perspective, generally when we see buildings from the top view.

1: Following the same method establish horizon lines connecting two lines to make it triangle, dropping center line and draw bunch of lines on left and right side as you can see.

2: The final look of three point perspective.

Note: Draw all the lines as freehand on your sketchbook. Don't get discourage if you are unable to draw straight lines keep practicing and you'll start to see a good quality in your line.

Reasons to Teach perspective: Very very important when you are placing characters in an environment, drawing vehicles and environment artwork.

Thanks for the feedback guys, in our next lesson i'll teach you lights and shadows but in two days i have my final. Keep practicing those lines and perspective and if you can post your work that will be great.
