I use a local cable internet that i had for about 3 months now , it was working fine until about the start of this month, my internet was down, i contacted my isp and he said that,"my ip address was blocked" and he went on to change my ip address , later on it continued to happen so i repeated , call , tell problem , change ip address , until about the 5th time when he said that i cannot change it again as it has exceeded the amount of times he has done so , he says that i download or install illegal and or malicious software that is compromising the integrity of my isp and violating the pta's terms of service , i have never before been said this and now i seem to be baffled , and continue to think on what i should do .. the only illegal thing that i can think of that i may be doing is downloading torrents , now, i told him this and he says that it is not because of that, please advise on what i should do next, should i change my internet, should i confront my isp to tell him that he should be handling this?because i told him that and he says that he cant do anything or is there any possible fix for this ridiculous problem i seem to be having ..Please Advise

Thanks in advance :)

Or.. you may have a virus or a malicious software that could be causing the red flags to go up on the ISP end.... try a virus scan.

NABAMB no i donot use that.... although some of my friends have been saying that due to steam it may contain a censor by pta .. but i highly doubt that , although i do play ghost recon online , i can see the incentive of pta blocking that specific game due to some maps related , although i may be completely wrong and the game or steam could have no influence on what is happening with my net... i am also thinking that if it ever happens again that i would indeed change my isp , probably to connect comm's or maybe fariya

Mephisto Yes i indeed forgot to do this.. i have now started a full scan of my pc no exclusions , although i am using windows defender , can this problem be related to me getting updates everyday for windows updater , or perhaps my pc standard time for updates being wrong, last i had corrected it , it was showing the date and time of canadian standard time
Meh..... this is too meh :/

Ask him exactly what caused the block. Tell him that you're paying money for this shit and that you're not doing anything illegal, it's his job to fix it.

Yea change your ISP then. Why don't you go for PTCL? Dynamic IP

My friend got a zero line rent line a couple of days ago. Apparently, he'll only be charged for the DSL on that line. You can try that.
