I am looking for an economical SSD as boot device, storage is seagate 3TB sata 3. Intel 530 seems cheapest option among all for Rs. 5.6K (1 year warranty) - 120gb which is enough for me. Review shows good performance as well. What you guys suggest, Transcend / Samsung evo are expensive, is price / performance difference justified? Should I go for it?

I would've suggested you the Zotac T400 SSD, but it's OUT OF STOCK right now on PakDukaan.

Anyhow, Looking at the benchmarks, the focused model performed as good as its competitors. However, every built unit performs differently. In addition, the performance increment also relies on chipset generation. Don't expect to get the same result as in reviews.

I'd say, go for it. 5.6K and 1 year warranty would be a secure spending.

I was in the same boat a week or 2 back. Was looking at the exact same SSD (Intel 530). Comparing it to other brands its performance is very average, not to mention 120gb is not sufficient at all.

I ended up buying Corsair LE 200 240 GB for 11k , its much better then any intel offering. I would strongly suggest to save a bit more and buy a better brand. Or look for someone who is selling a samsung 850 evo in used.
