Wow ! I am amazed by the love for zotac amp extreme :D too bad we don't know when they are coming out all we know is they are coming out in April
I can wait until May even, my card stays at 50C at idle with only 30% fan running in summer and underload 50C at 100% fan load or 70C at 30% fan load, I'm in love with their coolers and the way they perform. Out of the box I was getting ~2100MHz without any tinkering, it'd push itself auto like that. So, it's either AMP! Extreme for me or something from EVGA like Classified, but the highest performing card takes my money. And if the different is only marginal between the two, I'll take the one first available over the other one.

Things get interesting with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Edition (ZT-PT10810D-10P), with factory-overclocked speeds of 1569 MHz core, 1683 MHz GPU Boost, and an untouched 11 GHz (GDDR5X-effective) memory. This card draws power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors, has a maximum board power of 270W (vs. 250W reference), and is cooled by a dual-slot cooling solution. Leading the lineup is the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Edition (ZT-PT10810C-10P), with 1645 MHz core, 1759 MHz GPU Boost, and 11.2 GHz (GDDR5X-effective) memory. The card's board power is rated at 320W. The company didn't reveal pricing for the AMP! series cards.

I will wait and see which version to go with. EVGA somehow are losing me this time. I'm quite busy with reviewing stuff, not even thinking about 1080 Ti. lol

So the normal Overclock frequency is 2GHz for 1080Ti....impressive
seems like 2.0 is more or less a given its just those extra few Mhz that are going to be a result of silicon lottery I have seen them hitting close to 2050Mhz and there's one FE that hit 2064

Looks similar to as of Strix variant, I'll just sit back and wait for AMP! Extreme reviews, looks like I'll be going for that anyway. Kingpin would stand a chance, probably, but that'll take its sweet ass time before arriving so we'll see about that.
HAHAHA see having a 1080 already has its Pros it helps in waiting for these lazy AIBs to launch their cards knowing you have the second best :D....To be honest I am sick of waiting for the ZOTAC I remember I saw a video on youtube like yesterday where they launched AMP extreme in Malaysia no sign of anything other than FE in China for now and rumors are they are going to launch early MAY...980Ti on 3440x1440 doesn't help Gsync or not lol

That is true, but then again, most AIB variants do indeed take a while. It's not going to be a huge difference in performance anyway, so at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter which variant you go with if I'm being honest. I just find AMP! Extreme to be a tad bit better with a few more fps and much better air-cooling than the competition, other than that, you're more or less getting same performance regardless of which AIB you pick from the market.

Good luck.
