It's a pretty short game all-in-all. Took me about 9-10 hours to be done with it completely on normal. I found the narrative to be the weakest part of the game, something we've become accustomed to when it comes to Sucker Punch. Lots of underdeveloped characters and a very ordinary plot.

The game makes up for those shortcomings through the game play. Everything is so well implemented. So fluid, so smooth. The kind of powers the MC has control over, you'd expect to hit some sort of technical snag along the way but I've yet to face anything of the sort.

Second Son is a visually resplendent, technically sound game that might be a bit lacking in the content department but it's definitely a big step up from the resounding disappointment that was Killzone shadowfall.

As per the OP, out of respect for the meta, my prediction for the metascore would be in the 80-85 region. It might even dip below the 80 mark. Although it's a technical marvel, I fear the weak narrative and sparsity of in-game activities might not put it in such a favorable light in the eyes of reviewers.

Honestly, Titanfall didn't really live up to the massive hype that it had going for it either. It actually fell far short of the lofty standards set by its legendary predecessor.

On the other hand, the kind of scores Infamous is getting is in line with previous games in the series.

For all its shortcomings, Second Son still looks and plays like a next gen game. I can only say the same for one of those things about Titanfall.

Titanfall loses its charm as fast as it charms you. The bigger maps accommodating only 6 players + tons of bots is a deal breaker.

Man it's more fun than the ongoing debate or lack thereof. Either nobody's played the game yet or they've just started playing it. There are even some that gave up on it after they had a look at the meta score

Everywhere I look, it's SS vs TF. People are going ape shit over this.

I for one can't wait to play both games. TF on PC, whenever I buy it and SS on PS4 (obviously) whenever I buy it too.

You know what, if you had asked me to predict what an Infamous game would be like, I wouldve said the exact same thing you did. You could write the above mentioned paragraph, and it would fit all three in the franchise. Always played safe with the story, very less depth to it, but gameplay wise and 'fun factor' very high.
