My favorite indies are
1-The Swapper.
This game has awesome feeling to it. Not many games give you this type of environment. Even just the menu option and sound track during menu is amazing. Plus the puzzles are work of a genious. I dont think there is more than one solution to those puzzles and solving them is immensly satisfactory. And if you are a developer, you will be awed by ingenuity of the two who developed this amazing game. Must play. But will require your patience atleast in one or two puzzles.
2- Rayman Origins and Legend (Not indie theoraticaly, but i will recommend it)
3- Mark of the ninja - Good game mechanics

This game is getting all the praise it rightfully deserves after playing it myself I M STRONGLY suggesting to all gamers to play this rare gem of indie scene.Team of only 2 people did this and ITS AMAZING.
Another title i recently played was Kentucky Route Zero Act I and that was also very good
This line from gamespot review sums this game up very nicely.
Give both these games a try and recommend me any other indie game which i missed.
I've grown tired of mainstream AAA titles myself and have been delving into the indie gaming scene.

Anyone played Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams? It looks amazing in 3D. Platforming isn't bad either.

The is still in development. But it hax already enough content to last months of game play. The mechanics are simple to understand. You are a pilot who has crash landed on alien plante. You need to build base and clear path for next reinforcement.
While the game is simple to understand it has a lot of complexity in making factory. The borad selection of logistic and long tree of research can add more elements to think about and solving complex task. While every think can me made by hand in game. The goal is to automate everything you need and produce them in masses.
