like the title says obviously
I just changed to Nayatel from PTCL
Mostly because of PTCL's HORRIBLE customer service, and frequent disconnections.
I really don't want to talk about ptcl's horrible service.
I used to use the 8mbps plan on PTCL, copper adsl
I changed to nayatel, I got fiber
But i can't see a distinguishable, difference in the ping because of the fiber
The best ping I got, (when ptcl was still listening to my complaints) was average around 24 ms
quite good and i was happy about it.
of course, it started going up.
Connections were dropping every 10 min
speed was going down,,, horribly. (got 1.44 while paying for 8)
OK, back to the topic...
this is my nayatel, fiber; speedtest result,
(speedtest with PTCL)
(speedtest with wi-tribe, islamabad)
After i asked the dude who came to install the nayatel stuff
he said try pinging "10.10.99.99", the nayatel server directly since there aren't any nayatel servers on speedtest, net
to test on.
I tried it..
(sorry for the horrible red lines)
well.. 3? 4 ms?
that looks good.
But in terms of actual web-browsing
nayatel gave me a awful experience.
For some websites, it took me a awfully long time to wait it load.
Like this forum.. for some reason, it took a long time to load each page..
Also gaming experience was horrible.
Just horrible.
So bad that they would cut me off a game match online, just cause my internet is bad.
The ping was same to when i used PTCL... lol (copper=fiber?!!)
(Europe server, around 180~190 ms, to be exact 184 when i used PTCL, 18x~19x when i am using nayatel..)
and the reliability (i think packet loss) was utterly horrible.
so bad that i almost forgot about that PTCL customer service....
There would be a error
even before the game
click start game X10 and i would get that 9 times.
Now i just have no idea what i should do.
or
If i made the right choice
Just hoping that this is a "temporary" server error that happens very rarely...
Just another question.
there are 3 routers between my computer and the nayatel machine..
I do all internet on lan, the routers are connected via lan
could that effect the internet condition, greatly? (I only use this connection)
Would it be better, if i just had one long Ethernet cable, instead of 3 router to "bridge" between?
