Korhonen told us that while the next game will indeed be a new IP, some of Returnal's DNA will flow through the new project. "Returnal was so ambitious. We dreamt super big, but we still had to leave so much on the cutting room floor," she explained. "All of these ideas and narrative systems. I'm super excited to pick up those pieces and see how those fit our new IP story.

Happy for Housemarque's success. One of the only 3 capable studios (the other two being Team Asobi and Insomniac Games) left at PlayStation.

That's sad. He was involved in the development of some of my favorite games i.e. Resogun, Nex Machina, and Returnal (minus the roguelike stuff).

But it's funny seeing Necrokiller share this, given how most of the prominent developers who worked on The Witcher 3 at his beloved CD Projekt are no longer at the studio. Yiiiiiikes!
