first of all i don't like Intel stock mobos... they don't overclock... but they are pretty stable... still i recommend to get Asus p5B ... price is same

u could lower down the cpu to E6400 and buy a 8600GTS (just to get DX10 not necessary)

rest of the rig is fine... also try to negotiate 500W PSU

@beginner i got ur point

Inno3D 8600GTS i-chill around 14000

XFX 8600GTS around 15000

wats the difference in these two cards.

If i drop the graphics card for a while . with intel built-in graphics i can run Vista fully functionally.

Bcz i forget to mention LCD Monitor it around 14000 (Philips 19' wide ) and my fathers says that if u want a next gen too in next few months , u hav to drop some thing either drop AGP card , High-end Processor i dont want to waste money on low end graphics card thats y im droping it for while. Inshallah in next few months ill catch it.

Can u clear this Y u recommend Asus and there r lot of P5B board avb. which one is good.

mobo: Asus P5B have lots of models available in the market.... i only know the models on galaxy website, i don't know all.... could u please tell me more.... just don't buy intel RYCK

yeah u can run vista with X3000... it will give u 3.6 Experience points....

hmmm drop Graphics card for now... but take a promise from your dad that he'll buy u a card later (dads forget these things easily) ....

XFX is faster and cooler... but its not worth 1000 Rs

I will not advice you to buy a expensive motherboard unless you want to use this system for gaming! Intel DG965RYCK would be fine if you don't want to play much games on your PC, as this board run the vista very smoothly!

However, if you decided to catch up the next gen gaming then I recommended you a Asus or MSI motherboard for more power..but good mother boards don't come cheap!

Now it's upto whether you wants a gaming machine or a general purpose PC?

nah ,thats bulls**t :crap:Lies:
you can go for 965RY ,and pal are you running webserver or sumthing, why are you are going for 250GB just buy an 160GB HDD , and for the ram dont just go for 667mhz buy 800mhz's the 1GB Corsair 800 mhz will cost you around 6k now ,and one more thing i would like to ssay that dont go for philips monitor they sucks just buy samsumg 17" ( 740n ) ,
Samsung is the king of monitors ,and it will also cost you less i think around 12k , (2t) ,, and the last thing ,,, dont buy any of the graphic card for now if you are low in money , cuz 965RY's builtin card is directx 9 compatible , and if you are planning to buy with a graphic card go for 8800 GTs or 8800 GTX cuz all other G80 series .......just sucks""" :)p) only 128 bits
dont go for them
Good luck :GL:

^ i am not agree with you here..even 250GB is not that much as it's a broadband edge, downloads are range from 100MB to 6GB, furthermore games require good amount of space as well..an example is C&C 3! so I say go for 250 GB and BTW there is not a big price difference b/w 250 and 160GB

Thanks,

GF 8600 GTS is also a decent card... personally i call it bang for the buck card

1. RYCK: has memory issues with DDR2-800Mhz.... doesn't overclock (only ram overclocking is available)... no C2D extreme, C2D Quad support... only 3 rear audio jacks 5.1 channel audio... no esata.... it is designed for stability and its quite boring too....

2. P5b-VM: full support of DDR2-800 (expecting to support DDR2-1066 by next bios update).... overclocks like heaven... upto date processor support... 6 rear audio jacks 7.1 Channel Audio (better than RYCK audio quality)... esata..... handful of neat features..... crash free bios..... auto updating of drivers bios etc.... i love it

3. don't buy P5B its based upon P965... u'll have to buy a separate VGA card... its not worth the money

Well i want Light Gaming (Mostly RTS) and High End General Purpose Machine.

RYCK: has memory issues with DDR2-800Mhz....
ur rite beginner RYCk hav memory issue at 800 MHz.

P5B-VM sounds perfect ..

But from beginning i use Intel Board. No motherboard or any other damage in past 15 yrs Except this one after 6yrs thanks to KESC.

Do know much abt overclocking. is Intel processors r capable to overclock. I thought only AMD r over clocked .

"Do know much abt overclocking. is Intel processors r capable to overclock. I thought only AMD r over clocked"

this was an old case intel locked overclocking in pentium 3s... all rest of the series is overclockable.... i overclocked my friend's 1.8Ghz intel to 2.2 Ghz.... i know its not much... he runs it 24/7 and it performs well.... overclocking becomes a tool when your system becomes old or obsolete.... its help u to take out extra juice of power from the processor.....

asus board are v. reliable too... my cousin is still using its Athlon XP (400Mhz) on an Asus board (purchased 10 years ago).... he is a 10 year old kid.... with proper cooling i can overclock it to 700 Mhz any time.....

buddy its upto you.... intel or asus its your choice.... i am just giving u suggestion

Yar i m using intel 965 motherboard..it is decent and good with dual core processor.but if u manage to find the 965 gaming series board then it is far far better.instead of 7600 GT go for 8600 GTS,GS which ever the model is availbel cause dx 9c era of gaming is almost ending so go for dx 10.
