Great Review, excellent job (y)
One issue, I have bought two, one for me and one for my uncle and his panel has few backlight spots of uniformity, when in shipping the panel is pressed from few sides, the issue is it isn't visible in the pictures, can it be claimed in warranty, regarding your HTPC I have sent you a DM.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Hisense 55U7A users forum, you are correct, if the panel is pressed then it displays a "Dirty Screen Effect" or non-uniform back lighting in dark scenes. If you have bought it from Daraz then they have a 7 day return policy, TCS picks up the TV from your house and replaces it. If you bought it from a store then ask them to change the unit. Technically you can claim warranty for factory defects but getting it replaced from the seller is much faster as they have multiple units in inventory. Their Service Centre numbers are on the Warranty Card and I found them to be very responsive. Let us know about the progress. Regarding HTPC, I have replied to your PM, hope it helps.

Many thanks brother but Daraz's customer service seems to be pathetic as they didn't pick the call and via chat they put me on hold for every in between 15days period was over. For clamming directly to the Hisense issue is how can I prove the person that ist defected, I mean it barely noticeable unless white or any one colored screen

Call the number of Hisense's service centre as per your city written on your Warranty card. File your compalint, let the service rep determine if it's a fault or not, there are no charges of service visit.

I think 120 hz will be a big thing in next generation consoles coming next year in market
Yes and in current generation as well, gaming at 1080p 120Hz is a far better experience than 4K 60Hz and both Xbox One X and PS4 Pro have this option, even 1440p 120Hz if you have the supported TV/monitor.

After 10 months of wonderful experience with this tv, my 55U7A finally ran out of luck. The left side of the screen has become permanently dark and sometimes the right portion gets total dark, too. Seems like back-light problem.
Called hisense service center in Abid Market Lahore and they suggested me to send the tv in. So it is currently with them. Their service center was very basic with no proper tools and handling facilities. Didn't even have the power lead to provide AC power to tv, lol. so they had to borrow it from someone to turn it on, so not so good impression so far, but let's see how it goes, I'll keep this thread posted.

Hisense gives 2 years warranty on the Panel, so it should be covered. Yes seems like Panel issue. My old Sony had horizontal lines in lower half, it was way out of warranty, I dropped it off at Sony next day they told me that its the Panel issue and it has to be replaced since Sony does not offer Panel repairs, they asked 26000 for Panel replacement, I sold the LCD "as is" since it wouldn't sell for more than that after 26K in repair. As far as I know, Panel repair is only at factory level and most brands just replace panel.

Update: Just got the TV back! Yes the panel was faulty and they replaced it without a fuss. Took them 2 weeks to get it done which I think is quite okay considering the heftiness of the part. The tv feels like new now. the newly replaced panel even has the plastic wrap on the frame just like the one that comes with the new units. Overall impressed by their customer support especially the technician Ali.

That's great to hear that everything is ok now. Yeah my experience with their service centre has been great as well, I think they know that if they have to make a name as a serious brand they have to do their best in after sales. Just wondering, did they charge any service fees or visit fees?

Nope, not a single penny charged. I dropped it off at their server center myself after a bit of telephonic and whatsapp correspondence.
