help regarding ipod apps

I had previously jailbroken my ipod touch 1g running on firmware 3.0 and all the apps were being synched perfectly through itunes and were also working perfectly... after that i accidently upgraded to firmware 3.1.2... then i jailbroke it using the method available for 3.1.2 i.e. through blackrain... now only the apps i download through cydia work but the ones that i sync through itunes arent installed and give the error e8008001.... can anyone PPPPLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZ help because my ipod is useless to me without the apps

hey install appsync for 3.1.2 from cydia and all your applications will work again

NEVER EVER update ur firmware in wid a jailbroken device. If u wanna update u shud download da firmware den manually upgrade ur firmwaree
I think Wat u shud do is unjailbreak/restore ur ipod
fr dis first put ur ipod in DFU mode. U can put ur ipod in DFU mode by first plugging in ur ipod to itunes.
Den switch off ur ipod. After switching off ur ipod. Hold the power and home button fr 10 seconds.after 10 seconds release da power button but keep holding da home button fr another 10 seconds. Now itunes will detect an ipod in recovery mode. Now download da new firmware and install it on ur ipod. Ur data will all b cleared off. I hope dis works fr u.

^ as he has already mentioned he has done the jail breaking with blackra1n so no need to do the fw again ..just do the appsync and you are good to go .....

Connect ipod with usb, turn it off.. turn it on by pressing power and home key together.. ur phone should start in recovery mode.. go to itunes, there is a button 'update firmware' hold shift and click this button it will show an 'Open dialog box'.. download a custom 3.0 jailbroken firmware online (search on google) and select that.. ur phone should be back to 3.0..

Yaar... Simply go to cydia or rock... Add 'http://hackulo.us' in the sources.. Then search for AppSync 3.1 .,. Install it and sync ur apps from iTunes.,,

It works perfectly. It has no bugs. I myself am using appsync 3.1 and it works like a charm on os 3.1.1

I had 3.1.2 and it was not working properly.
But i think he shud try appsync as well if it doesnt work den he can always restore his ipod

Ok Try this method
this will 100% work i personally checked this one.

Just Donwload the File name "MobileInstallation"
And Then
Using SSH, navigate to the folder:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework
NOTE: MobileInstallation.framework is a FOLDER!
Backup the file “MobileInstallation” file from the directory above, by renaming to MobileInstallation.bak
Copy the patched MobileInstallation file over to
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework
Right click, then Set permissions to that new file to 775
Remove file :
/private/var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist
else you won’t be able to see Cydia apps
Reboot your device – IMPORTANT! Otherwise Apps will not install!
Restart iTunes

That’s all.

My ipod runs the apps fine now... Appsync worked but the repository hackulo.us is dead now
