Guys i need a little help. I want to write a formula in excel which subtracts from C when B is 0 and adds to C when A is 0.

adds or subtracts what from C?

I think you want a basic ledger with Dr. Cr. columns i assume?

basic formula is this:

you want 1 row on top empty with C1 set to 0.

on C2, make the following formula

=C1+A2-B2

Drag down using the + symbol at the bottom right corner of the cell C2 and formula should be updated automatically to whichever cells you drag to.

Assuming you want to add or subtract Cell X1 then formula would be =if(B1=0,C1-X1,if(A1=0,C1+X1,))
