help regarding 8800GT or else?

hi guys.....well my current pc specs are

1.6 dual core
2GB RAM Corsair
MSI 8800GT 512 DDR 3
Windows Vista SP1 32-bit
PSU 450 watts


well i guys i am facing a problem when playing some games on high graphics. games run smoothly but suddnly the game screen filled with red blushes and system got hang ...then screen blk out and restart.. and those few games are

currently playing .....Frontlines fuel of war at 1024*768 at very high specs
other are;

Fear
Far Cry
Gears of Way
and once Crisys...

so guide me where the problem lies... what i figured out the PSU is low for the system. so help me waiting for your replies.

there may be a specific reason which i think would be from following options

PSU
Card overheating due to overclocking
incompaible drivers


if ur 450W is actual 450 then its more than enough for the card u using

It means update your processor to Intel E6750 (2.6Ghz) as most of games requires and Get a new 3d card which i think is GeForce PCX 9600GSO 384MB (192-BITS) DDRIII

The problem might be with your PSU.
Can you underclock your card? Try that. Reduce its clock to a very low value. Then try playing a game for some time and see if the system restarts.

How many Amps your PSU has on the +12v rail?

That's sounds more like a heating issue then the PSU or anything else. Install the Riva turner and note down both the idle and load temperatures. If your card is getting over-heat i-e reaching 85C fast then you need to manage your case air-flow properly.

Secondly if your card is not getting heated then it could be the drivers or maybe a PSU issue (I doubt that though) there are softwares available which will clear your system from the old drivers then install the drivers which are recommended by your card manufacturer i-e MSI website.

LOL i don't know wht to say now....did u even see his posted specs of his pc specially gpu???

This Maybe
1) PSU prob
2) MOBO prob ( My PC kept Restarting, figured it was the MOBO, since i have changed the mobo, everything is fine)
3) Overheating!

some ppl here think that the 9600gso can outperform the 8800gt (lmao)
although its said that some versions of the 9600 have 8 memory blocks but only utilize 6 and when flashed with 8800gt's bios, the rest of the 2 memory blocks are also unlocked giving it 512mb video ram and also increasing pf rate and the bandwidth making it infact almost a 8800gt. but suggesting a guy with 9600gso who already has a 8800gt is .....
