Help needed (White/Grey Hat hacking involved)

So recently, someone wrote a list in which over 150 people, all people I know, were thoroughly insulted. This type of list is known as a Slut List, so I'm pretty sure you can understand what it contained. Included in this list is a girl who just recently passed away, before the list was emailed. So you can guess the person is extremely sick. Everyone on the list was insulted about their looks, social lives and some about their families. Infact, I'm mentioned personally thrice in the list

Now to the point: everyone I know is actively trying to figure out who was responsible for such a sick, pathetic joke. I come to you all as a community for help in tracing the person. I have their email address and IP address, but I really have no idea what to do with either of them. If anyone wants to help me, PM me. This could involve hacking their account or computer, so be warned. Infact, our connections in the police are also trying to do the same thing.

So the email address proved to be a dead end. Now I'm in need of help getting into the persons computer through the IP address. I realize what i'm asking for is illegal but I'd appreciate it if someone helped me out. Sorry if i'm breaking forum rules, but this is really serious.

Oh and regards to the list, if someone made a list saying shit about your family and friends, would you post it for the world to see?

I managed to get into the email address pretty easily (who makes their secret answer 'Karachi'? ), I need someone who can fiddle with the IP address a bit.

If he has a dynamic IP, that wont help your case, it'll be pretty hard for you to track him. With a dynamic ip, the only way to track him would be if you have some contact at PTA.
