[SOLVED] Help needed by owners of LG G2 LS980

Aoa,

i am getting a good deal on for the LS980. I want to ask a couple of questions for anyone who could answer.

I have heard that it needs manual unlocking and when you update it the set is locked again. Is it correct?
What if i install a custom rom and use it instead of the official sprint rom? For example cloudy G2 or something like that. Will i face the sim locking issue in custom roms as well?
What about 3g and apn setting problems? I have heard that you cannot add custom apns in the sprint rom. So custom rom will solve that issue right?
Any other issue i need to be worried about?

1 : If it is carrier locked. You won't be able to use any SIM on it no matter which Rom you are using Custom or Stock. You have to get it unlocked first.
2 : Read my previous reply.
3 : If the set is unlocked. It has no issues adding apns.

My advice is to Stay away from those carrier locked phones. Rest is upto you.

LS980 is a good phone. My colleague was using it and was always comparing it my S4. Battery life is great. He installed some custom Rom after which he was able to use 3G.

Specs, battery life, camera are all good. Go for it if you are getting it under 20K. I recommend it
