Guys i already have 1 Gb DDR2 533 bus ram installed in my rig.Now i m gonna buy another 512 Mb DDR 2 Ram with 667 bus.So is there any problem of compatability with rams of two different bus speeds??Reply as soon as possible.My mobo is Intel 965 RY .

Your rams will work but they'll use the lower frequency. So even if u get the ram with 533 bus it will result the same. In short unless you are changing both ram then don't go for 667 bus speed ram.

Well the best option will be to get the RAMs of same bus speed... But if you cant find one then the above settings will work.. but they'll both work on the lower bus speed.

there will be no problem... but the 1GB stick will create a bottleneck... make sure u connect them in Dual channel mode (same colored slots)....

it will create some problem mate..i have gone through this...had to change the ram...my pc used to get stuck...best advice avoid this...use rams with same bus speed...

Thanks guys.Actually there is a poblem that i could not find 533 bus ram so i bought 667 and now it is working fine with the old one.Though tunning on 533 bus but better than before.

waise u could underclock the 667Mhz DDR2 to 533Mhz just to make sure
