[HELP] GPU fan has stopped working

So my Nvidia Gt240 fan has suddenly stopped working, i didn't make any hardware or software changes. I did take it out and use a blower to clean out the dust but the fan still does not work. Any idea what the reason could be ?
Plus any decent repairing shops in pindi/isl where i can take it and expect it to be actually fixed ?

Make sure that you did not disconnect the GPU fan wire from the GPU chipset (in some low end GPUs, the fan wire is visible).

Else you will have to get it replaced. Shop owners can fix them (Galaxy in Karachi can fix the fans), but I don't know about shops in 'Pindi.

You can do what I've done with my GPU (attached another fan on top of the fan with sewing threads). The temperatures have dropped further by 8 to 9 *C. The internal fan of my GPU works fine though. I am using an NMB100mm fan on top of the 6950's heatsink (its quite bulky).

well its not a big problm, as shary suggested u can fix an extra fan on it, so that it provides sufficient air flow to cool it...
and if u cant do it urself or dont wanna take the risk...there's is a shop in dubai plaza rawalpindi....
i can tell u its full detail and explain u the situation, PM me if u wanna know details.....

u dont need to replace it, I done this on 2 gpus and both working fine now ( hd4650 and gt220)
1. disassemble heatsink from the gpu
2. from front side there will be 2/3 screws. you need to open them carefully
3. now you will have fan of your gpu in your hand
4. on back side of fan, remove the cover (bit hard to remove, I broke them instead and use insolation tape to cover that
5. add 2 or 3 drops of oil (i use sewing machine oil) and move the fans fins with your hand for 2 3 minute so that oil absorb in bearings
6. cover that back
(optional : wash heatsink with water if no electrical component left on it)
7. install that fan to heatsink again
8. remove old paste
9. add new .
10. reseat the heatsink
you are good to go

So i tried what cereberus suggested but its still not working, so i guess the issue is different.

Fan Is Completely Dead....!!

Ask If Anyone Have Similar Kind Of Fan So You Can Replace Fan Else Jugaro Fan On Heatsink Is The Only Way......!!!

These Fan's Are Brushless Fans..Not Bearing Type....!!
