Main Question:
Some says k Desi UPS best hy . Local Made. Woh low baterry charging par bhi chalta hy or digital 40% sy kam battery par trip kar jata hy.
Some says k digital theak hy like homeage e.t.c. becoz woh jaldi charging kartay hain or bill kam ata hy.

We are pakgamers not wheelers
dont go for desi made ups. they keep on giving charge even after batteries charged. Those who say Desi are best speaks shopkeepers language
regarding wattage go for 1200w 24v dual battery one
as for brand, go for NS brand UPS. we have 3 of NS and working fine. although mine is at repair today for busted transistor and stuff after 3 year of continuous use

but that would be higher than your budget.
21 plate battery x2 2100 OSAKA IPS800
UPS is around 14k i think
else go for single battery 800w or something from NS
and 27plate osaka IPS1300 . for 15.5k
these batteries are tubular plate special for UPS and solar inverters

21plate ips800 worked fine with me for 3 year so yesterday i again bought ips1100 23 plates

I have some more questions about UPS, as I currently have Homage 1K UPS.

1) What is the best type of battery for UPS? Solid Cell or AGM Gell or Liquid Flooded?
2) What is the best brand batteries available in Pakistan?
3) Where can I get those in ISB/RWP?

Homage and all these 'hi-fi' UPS are utter crap. They're expensive and if they ever go bust, well you can kiss them goodbye. I'm speaking from experience. We have a Homage UPS connected in one part of the house. The fans run considerably slow on it. It's just by design as the lights seem to run fine. There is nothing that can be done about it because these UPS are not configurable.

On the other hand we have a desi UPS connected with the other half of the house. It used to run fans quite slow as well. And it took like 10 minutes for the electrician to configure it to run as we wanted it. Get a desi UPS made from someone who knows what he's doing and you'll be fine.

I have tried 2 Desi UPS's because they were cheap... They ended up costing me more because they always overcharged the battery. I then tried Homage. The fans don't make any noise now like they used to, and the battery has been working great. Homage all the way (But genuine homage. You will find Desi UPS's which say homage on its cover sometimes)

try lahore lite ups works great its a branded local/DESI ups been using it for 4 yrs no big issues so far just once changed a fuse and a variable for around 200-300
750w is sufficient enough for you for battery try millat ups series they are cheap and work well or if you want higher quality try phoenix brand bit cheaper from ags ...if you want comprehensive info i can share a link from pakwheels if its allowed .

FYI its nat watar its electrolyte level which should filled to the max range stated on battery , yes the level is required to be maintained to upper or maximum limt and it should be topped up with distilled water which helps to maintain the gravity of the acid leading to a healthy electrolysis in the battery and provide you good backup

Get an APC Pure Sine Wave UPS. Beats Homage and other local crap. You can buy an APC UPS from Hafeez Centre or Hall Rd easily. I've used my Dawlance fridge + Haier freezer on an APC 1500VA. It has the smoothest operation, You won't even feel that the light has gone. When I last checked, 1.5Kva APC costed near 15000Rs. I heard they got a lil' expensive. 1000-1200Va APC UPS will fulfill your needs. I've used all kinds of UPSes, and APC is by far the BEST!

Lead Acid Battery should never be discharged below 50%. A complete discharge stresses the battery and causes corrosion on plates, which eventually reduces battery life.

See the graph, battery will last longer for low Depth of Discharge.

For your load:
4x Fan + 4x Energy Saver = 450W (approximately).

But every UPS wastes a considerable amount of energy (Power Factor). Assuming a power factor of 0.7, you will need a UPS of at least 650VA.

If your batteries are connected in series, you should consider replacing both at once. Replacing one stresses the newer one until it reaches at the level of older one.

How long is the backup? I heard pure sine wave UPS only give a few minutes of backup.
