guys just got a galaxy s2!! awesome phone!!! but heats up like a B*TCH!!!! is it normal? heard this was a prob with this device!!! any tips to make it NOT overheat!?

it was around ~122-124F (using norton mobile utilities) i was charging and using opera mini and listen to music at the same time. it wasnt the battery that was heated, but the area around the camera!!! is this normal? will it damage my cell!?

btw its 2.3.3 and unrooted!!!! will updating to 2.3.4 or rooting help in any way?

and it would have been quite uncomfortable had i decided to make a call!!!! lol feeling depressed now =(

Phones tend to get quite got during charging. So yeah, its normal.

it seemed like the processor area was gettin hot! the battery area was fine!? is that still normal?

this is just close to winters and weather is not very hot..let summers come again and then you will see how hot it becomes... you can fry an egg on it then..

umm, its not the case. I play games while plugging in the charger. It doesn't get that hot.

Mine doesn't get hot at all, you should get it checked.

i rooted it and freezed some stuff (titanium backup pro) like the wifi sharing and deleted all the bloatware!!! now it just gets warm on charging+use(music+opera+wifi)... my xperia arc was worse!!! so am content for now lol

the scalding heat doesnt bother me.. as long as the phone components dont melt or the phone doesnt seize im happy!!!! ill be leaving for canada in jan so wahan itni garmi nehi parti =P lol!!!
