HDD for xbox360 JTAG

Hi
I currently have maxtor 320GB external HDD. Its working perfectly, but its really difficult for me to carry the hard drive with all its power wires to the PC to transfer games in the HDD. Im willing to buy a Portable HDD so that i can just unplug the HDD and do the job.

Someone said portable HDDs runs at lower rpm as they are powered by usb.
If i use Portable HDD with my xbox360 will i face any issues while playing games?
The one im going to purchase is WesternDigital 500GB
Please suggest.

wow! i never knew we can change the internal hdd too
I think its the best option..
Even better then purchasing a portable hard drive
