COD BO 2 comes with offline BOTS, so you can play multi-player maps and modes WITHOUT Xbox Live !! This means you can play safely and get used to the maps if you follow this guide
There are 14 multiplayer maps, many modes (Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, more), and even 3 or 4 Zombie maps. COD BO 2 also supports split-screen, and LAN
1. Un-plug your Xbox 360 hard drive
2. Un-plug the internet from your Xbox 360
3. Get a USB flash drive. It can be small, we just need it to save your profile (1 GB is plenty)
4. Turn on your Xbox 360, and plug in the USB flash drive
5. In your system settings, format the USB flash drive to 360 format
6. Create an offline profile
7. Pop your COD BO 2 DVD in your 360
8. In game, go to Multiplayer, then choose "Local"
9. "Setup Game" will let you choose your map and mode
10. Go to "Setup Bots" and choose "4" friendlies and "5" enemies. Choose the difficulty you want. I swap between Regular and Hardened
11. Go to "Start Match" to play !!
12. REMEMBER: if you want to play another game on Xbox Live, DO NOT FORGET to unplug your USB flash drive, and eject your COD BO 2 DVD before plugging your hard drive and internet up again

A little more info
- Bot matches are limited to 9 bots + self
- The bots can be dumb and uber smart, kinda mixed, but still a blast. On "Hardened", they have eagle eyes and kill much better
- You can adjust the score limit or time limit, and various other factors in "Setup Game" > "Edit Game Rules"
- I have been playing games early forever now using this same method and have not been banned... Even though other members play early online without getting banned, I NEVER try online until release date.
- Yep, graphics still look OLD, no improvements here, but it is "GAMEPLAY" that matters
