Unless you need the absolute fastest single-GPU card on the market, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 delivers a dazzling combination of performance, power usage, and pricing.
source: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 Review & Rating | PCMag.com

If Nvidia is able to deliver this time around and GeForce GTX 670s are accessible, then it has a real winner on its hands and AMD will need to adjust its entire line-up to reflect a Radeon HD 7970 priced at $400 or less. Here’s hoping we’ve seen the last of the launch-oriented chess moves, architected to keep enthusiasts from buying competing cards. We just want to play our games, after all.

source: GeForce GTX 670 2 GB Review: Is It Already Time To Forget GTX 680? : Giving GK104 A Haircut

The GeForce GTX 670 has made our job easy, as there is very little to critique. Based on results from the dozen games we tested, Nvidia achieved its goal of matching the Radeon HD 7970'soutput, while remaining priced against the more affordable HD 7950 at $399. This assuming the latest Kepler card will actually become available at its intended price point over the coming weeks, unlike the GTX 680.

Besides concerns about its availability and true street price, we're thrilled with the GTX 670 as it was 15% faster than the HD 7950 on average and on par with the HD 7970. It also bested Nvidia's last-gen single-GPU flagship by 21% at 2560x1600 and it was only 6% slower than the GTX 680 while being 20% cheaper -- awesome news for value-minded enthusiasts who still want top-end performance.
source: Gainward GeForce GTX 670 Phantom Review - TechSpot Reviews

Outside of the obligatory AMD matchup, interestingly enough NVIDIA has put themselves in harm’s way here in the process. At 2560x1600 the GTX 680 only beats the GTX 670 by 7% on average. NVIDIA has always charged a premium for their top card but the performance gap has also been greater. In games that aren’t shader bound the GTX 670 does very well for itself thanks to the fact that it has equal memory bandwidth and only a slight ROP performance deficit, which means the GTX 680 is only particularly strong in Metro, Portal 2, and DiRT 3. The 7% performance lead certainly doesn’t justify the 25% price difference, and if you will give up that performance NVIDIA will shave $100 off of the price of a card, but if you do want that top performance NVIDIA intends to make you pay for it. Of course this is also why the GTX 670 is only priced $100 cheaper rather than $150. Potential buyers looking for a $350 GK104 card are going to be left out in the cold for now, particularly buyers looking for a meaningful GTX 570 upgrade.

Since we completely mailed in this review and tested with punishing image quality settings at a six-megapixel resolution, I'm hesitant to draw too many strong conclusions. Still, I think the GeForce GTX 670's story is pretty simple. The 670 trails its big brother, the GeForce GTX 680, by only an eyelash in most of our performance results, closely enough that you'd have a very hard time telling the difference between them in everyday use. Not only that, but it delivers lower 99th percentile frame times than both the Radeon HD 7950 and the 7970 in three of our four game tests. Meanwhile, the 670's power consumption is quite tame.

If I were buying a video card right now for myself, I'd order up a GeForce GTX 670. You really can drive three two-megapixel displays with it and play games at reasonable frame rates, even though you'd want to go easier on the image quality options than we did. For those folks with a four-megapixel display or less, the 670 should deliver a nice dose of gaming nirvana. Now that the 670 is here, I fail to see the point of spending more on a GeForce GTX 680 or a Radeon HD 7970, unless it has higher-than-stock clocks or something.

NVIDIA is 3-for-3 on GPU releases this year. The GTX 680 took on the Radeon HD 7970 card from AMD and won, the GTX 690 is easily the fastest graphics card ever released and now the new GeForce GTX 670 takes the AMD product stack and puts it into question. In our testing we found the new GTX 670 2GB card to beat out the Radeon HD 7950 3GB card in basically every single game and benchmark, sometimes by as much as 30% or more. What is more impressive is that the GTX 670 was also able to match or beat the performance of the Radeon HD 7970 3GB card in the majority of our tests as well! The Radeon HD 7970 did have the advantage in many cases once we hit the 2560x1600 resolution and likely will as well in a multi-display gaming configuration, but at 1920x1080 the GTX 670 seems more than capable of besting the AMD flagship GPU.

NVIDIA has once again taken the aggressive stance previously seen by AMD's Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 cards by delivering a product that outperforms the competition, is more power efficient and pricing it below the current market. At $399, the new GeForce GTX 670 is the single best graphics card on the market and I am quite confident in my assertion. It isn't the fastest, it isn't the lowest priced - simply the best. It combines the gaming performance and features of the GTX 680 with the industry-leading power efficiency of the Kepler architecture in a package that is more easily attainable by the enthusiast gamer.
AMD finds itself in another bad situation with a card selling for $80 less than the Radeon HD 7970 that is producing better gaming experiences and I am interested to see their reaction. A company in AMD's situation can only make so many price cuts...

source: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Graphics Card Review - Kepler for $399 | PC Perspective

The new GeForce GTX 670 offered excellent performance throughout our entire battery of tests. Generally speaking, the GeForce GTX 670 is faster than the similarly priced AMD Radeon HD 7950 and it either competes favorably or outpaces the Radeon HD 7970 as well. Versus the higher-end GeForce GTX 680, the GTX 670 also competes well, finishing just a hair behind NVIDIA’s current flagship single-GPU powered card in every test. The factory overclocked GeForce GTX 670 cards were even able to overtake the reference GeForce GTX 680 on a few occasions due to their higher GPU and memory frequencies.

Ultimately, we feel that the new GeForce GTX 670 is another strong offering from NVIDIA. The card offers all of the features of the higher-end GeForce GTX 680 and 90+% of the performance, but at a lower price. Hopefully NVIDIA’s availability issues are rectified soon, because we suspect many of you are going to want to score on of these puppies.

With the rather large proviso that NVIDIA's partners keep to the £330 pricing quoted in this editorial, the GeForce GTX 670 becomes our favourite high-end card, supplanting both the GeForce GTX 680 and Radeon HD 7970, even at its much-reduced price. We sang the GTX 680's praises six weeks ago; we now wonder if some fulsome recommendation was premature, as the GTX 670 is, for most, a better bet, tantalisingly so if this new GPUs can be BIOS-flashed to the GTX 680's specifications.

The experts have spoken: The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 is a great deal at the $400 price point, with performance that beats last year’s NVIDIA flagship model and bests AMD’s comparable offerings in most situations. It’s also noticeable smaller, quieter and easier on electricity than previous GPUs thanks to the Kepler architecture. The only concern that most have is the retail availability of the new card, as GTX 680 and GTX 690 cards are still very hard to find.

per khab lay raha hai :D
jab IMX laega =P-------

but i really hate those single fans design on the cards. Atleast two fans must be present on a high end gpu. Waiting to see its twin frozr III cooling solution.

added some gtx 670s variants.

Its design is same as 680....
Incorrect! This is the reference GTX 670 design:

and this is the Reference GTX 680:

There are only a handful of models based on the GTX 680 based which includes the Gigabyte GTX 670 OC 5x, ZOTAC AMP! 670 and EVGA GTX 670. All these cost $439.99 and out of them only EVGA would be available here.

HMS1193 : I think the 680 is looking more cleaner , thus high quality design because there is sticker applied on it. On the other side, no sticker on 670, so no shining and looking like cheap design.

yeah true
but considering its 80$ cheaper than stock 680, i'd say its alot better....then there is OC headroom as well
yeah true. Those 100$ or 80$(for oc'ed variants) difference is too much considering that it is giving aboit 85% of performance of 680. In PK, it will be like 10k of difference. So I think 670 is the real bang-for-the-buck right now. NVidea has made a card that will stand against its own big brother lol.

85% performance? You kidding me bro? Most reviewers claim that performance difference is quite minimal... a mere 7 to 8 %cent
