I think it falls in the upper mid end of the Parker spectrum and well worth it, did not buy from here so don't know the pricing, neither remember mine. I believe it was in the 40-50 pounds territory. Just make sure you feed it with decent ink, wash it and clean it often and use it even more often, ink has a way of clotting and drying out in the barrel/feed. Never ever let anyone use your fountain pen, NEVER. Choose your nibs wisely, how broad you like your pen to write can actually make you love or hate your pen, the thicker it is the better chance you have to add variation to your writing and maybe in the future get your nib modified by a master craftsman into a rounded italic. If I were you I would order online, choose a few starter pens from most of the good brands and be able to own 2-3 in the given budget. Give the pens only good paper to write on too, proper stuff bought from billboard or moleskine journals or the kind, paper makes a big difference.
Also you will find yourself bored from writing, to keep the investment in use always use bold and different ink colors even if they are fancy, blue and black will not carry you long.
