So apparently the PS5 upgrade costs $10 more than PS4 which is absolute bonkers. The upgrades dont seem to justify the difference at all and how the fuck is JAP LIP SYNC a feature ? Sony already has a major PR problem and its decisions like this that aggravate it even more. The free legends update was surprisingly fantastic but I feel sony has botched all that good will by this. Not only are people buying the console itself at almost double the price but the added markup on the games makes Sony seems to be completely tone deaf and arrogant.

Ultimately, what we have here is a reasonable array of revisions, but it does feel that Sony is charging for the kind of upgrades that other developers and publishers are giving away for free

there isn't the kind of vast improvement we saw in the likes of Marvel's Spider-Man (which was a paid upgrade) or Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (which wasn't)

Even then, a score of 83 means the "honeymoon period" ain't over, unlike with a certain medicore game from a mediocre studio. GoT's honeymoon period is eternal, and it comes and goes like a blizzard

Anyway, reviews will continue to be added to the tally. Keep an eye out and maybe you can offer updates on the score

I mean, the PS5 is based on lousy AMD hardware, so DLSS isn't an option. Not Sucker Punch's fault they're owned by a lousy company that makes lousy decisions . They did the best they could within the time and budget allocated to this port. It's running at a higher internal resolution than the PS4 version does on PS5 in back compatibility mode. It's also a locked 60fps in photo mode, which the PS4 version running on PS5 wasn't.

An improved draw distance certainly would've been nice, but the studio was internally handling this port while also working on the Iki island expansion. It understandable that they weren't able to put a lot of effort into the PS5 version. Maybe
when Nixxes ports it to PC, they'll have all the time to implement such improvements

The DualSense features are great, and worth the extra $10 for me
