From being one of my absolute favourite games of all-time to one of my most hated, barely within the span of a few years. Assassin's Creed 1 wowed us with its historical Middle-Eastern premise and refreshing gameplay mechanics. The series peaked with Brotherhood but Revelations and onwards it went on a rapid downward spiral. What started off as a pure assassination game subsequently veered towards tomb raiding, micro-management and environment exploration. It didn't help that gameplay was precisely the same in every release, with minor incremental changes. The franchise lost focus and has now been reduced to becoming an annual cash cow for its parent company, Ubisoft.

It has reached a point where I purposely avoid wasting time reading news about the next Assassin's Creed game. What a waste of potential!

I was about to post the same game. Good pick. Well, I'm also gradually losing interest in COD series due to the futuristic weapons and tech gadgets.

Honestly speaking, I really enjoyed Battlefield 4 due to its story but Battlefield Hardline looks shit that I didn't even bother to give it a try. I really hope Ubisoft won't disappoint us with The Division but these developers are really unpredictable.

Those folks at UBI are A holes.... First they made shit out of one of my all time favorite games Prince of Persia and then did the same with AC.

Its hard to believe that such an out standing game like Far Cry is from the same publisher and i do hope that they dont fuck up The Division.

The most prevalent one is the same franchise that you posted. There was a time when I was hyped beyond belief for the next Assassins Creed game. Now, I don't even watch the trailers.

Assassins Creed 2 is my favourite and the peak of the franchise in my opinion. It is one of my favourite game of all time too.

Another franchise that I don't care about anymore is Need For Speed. I need a proper 'Most Wanted' remake, not the shitty one we got.

FIFA is another game that comes to mind. I've played almost every FIFA game from 1994 till 2008 (and then in 2012) but that's when I called it quits. EA was basically releasing the same game wrapped differently with each passing year.

It didn't help that PC was getting the short-end of the stick, at the expense of consoles. This also kick-started my intense hate for yearly game releases.

1. yaar haytham AC 3 was my best favorite character i cannot believe i have not played unity till now because of so many bad reasons i used to end every Ac game in 2 or 3 days


2.Need for speed most wanted was the last best game in series after that downfall and now no intrest from 4 or 5 years
Lastly i was a diehard fan of wwe

3.brought ps 1 for wwf warzone
Ps 2 for smack down 3
xbox 360 for smack down vs raw 2007 but now wwe games have lost the most interest in whole gaming industry

I agree..AC series has lost its touch...AC2 was the best imo...black flag was good too ..graphics wise b
baki i agree with the general stuff..COD NFS etc have lost it. Splinter cell too went down the drain. Initially it was one of the most realistic stealth games, but now its just bullshit. Same thing happened with Devil may cry / Resident Evil Duo ..
I hope Hitman series / Halo and Gears of War do not lose their charm.
