Suddenly discovering that that "Learn FLASH" CD I bought from Hafeez Center has a folder named Aoe2x. Opened it unzipped the single file in it and OH it's a game.

Must be a lame game, well eh, lets try it. And holy shit! I was lost! playing the game, creating villagers, farms, researching, progressing, those graphics in 1999 were so real for me, I felt I WAS IN THERE. (I miss the imagination I had to feel that now :'()

Lucky, coz the time was summer holidays.

I played the shit out of the game 24x7

only breaks I took were when my head ached, or i need food etc

love for PC Strategy games was born

And this was the fondest gaming memory I had./

Although during childhood my main medium of gaming was sega genysis and then PS1, but i was introduced to pc gaming by playing a fairly unknown strategy game called "Krush, Kill and Destroy" aka KKnD. From there on i used to play a lot of Age of Empires, Commandos, Delta Force and Metal Slug. All of these games i used to play on my cousin's pc because we couldn't afford one at that time.

Who would forget Need for speed? In my school, the computer lab attendant had installed it for us. we used to unlock FZ-R, some really beautiful memories!

Fondest one? Downloading and Installing custom made cars into midtown madness 1. Toyed with new cars the whole night and finally slept at 6. It was at that moment I knew that PC gaming is the way to go.

I remember when my Dad brought home a 386 in like 96-97. There was Dave and some other racing game on it. Those are my 1st memories of PC gaming.
