New unlocks, vehicles, maps, and other goodies are coming to EA's futuristic shooter.
The weather online will get cold this spring when EA releases Northern Strike, a booster pack for its sci-fi first-person shooter, Battlefield 2142. Two new vehicles, the PAC's Hachimoto, a light hovercraft, and the EU's Goliath, a huge firing platform, are included in the download. Also part of the package are three new maps set in Europe: the Bridge at Remagen, the city of Leipzig, and a Titan docking harbor in Port Bavaria. Developer DICE wanted to put a bigger focus on close-quarters combat this time around and it should show in the map designs. Ten new rewards, one new pin, and ten new unlockable items are featured as well. The booster pack will be available this spring. No price has been announced so far, and a closed beta is set to begin in the near future. :muscles:
