They would disregard a 99 rated game if it didn't meet a minimum criteria, so yeah, "must play" is a quantifiable thing for them

We already know CerebralTiger's criteria:

My rules are for new editions that bring QoL improvements and/or offer new content, not straight up ports

For example, Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition is valid, the Switch port of Ori and the Will of the Wisp is not

And PS5/Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077 are straight up ports

All those were patched on last gen versions too and PS5/XSX weren't even rebranded "definitive edition" or something. Hence, straight up ports

The aforementioned additions were added to the last-gen and PC versions via update, and they weren't there at launch. Therefore, they weren't factored into the PC version's Metascore. A better, more polished version for the PS5 launch, then. But then why 75?
