Great OT CT. You did an amazing job (y)

So today was a big day. I got quoted in an article by New York Times which was written by Jason Schrier. He contacted me personally for a quote since I was a "hardcore" Final Fantasy fan. Needless to say, it was an honor to see my name in such a reputable news publication unlike some "self-proclaimed" fan of CD Projekt Red and The Witcher here on PG who pretends to defend them like a blind fanboy (lmao)

Article is here

My quote is here

That's awesome, congrats! Hard work pays off (y)

I guess this will put an end to referencing Jason for crunch-related concern trolling

So there's no way of getting the physical copy of this game here in Pak I guess. 100 GB is alot of downloading that I am not willing to do considering our download speeds. Does anyone here has any idea if we will be getting the physical copies here in Pak anytime soon?

If it helps, the download size was around 65gb. Once installed, it's 85gb.
I see. Thanks for telling me that. I will probably wait till the end of the month. If nothing happens I might download that. Probably will take me days if not a week.

[h=1]Dylan Sprouse Roasts Kotaku Over Final Fantasy 7 Remake Article[/h]

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody's Dylan Sprouse is calling out Kotaku over a Final Fantasy 7 Remake article that criticizes the game's easy mode.

  • Most fans and outlets are having a blast with the newly released Final Fantasy VII Remake, but Suite Life of Zack & Cody co-star Dylan Sprouse is taking a break to roast Kotaku over an articleit published about the game. Sprouse's remarks are the latest jabs in a wider debate overdifficulty and accessibility in gaming, but the child star is likely the last person anyone expected to resurface the argument.
The entire gaming world is currently gushing about Final Fantasy VII Remake, with players hard at work hand-crafting Final Fantasy-inspired outfits in Animal Crossing and the developers of DOOM Eternal making an official nod to Square Enix's revival of the PS1 classic. It's not a stretch by any length of the imagination to say that the long-awaited return to Midgar is on everyone's lips. Accordingly, major gaming outlets (present company, included) are churning out a wealth of Final Fantasy VII Remake reviews, guides, and opinions to satisfy the series' voracious fans.

One such opinion, published by Kotaku, caught the ire of some fans for criticizing the game's difficulty scale. Penned by senior writer Mike Fahey, the article took the game's easy mode to task, calling it "a joke" that prevents players from being able to "fully appreciate Final Fantasy VII Remake’s nuanced and versatile battle system." The article's headline, "Final Fantasy VII Remake's Easy Mode is Way Too Easy" (which has since been augmented to better reflect Fahey's argument), prompted Dylan Sprouse to wryly retort, "In a compelling example of journalism excellence: 'Final Fantasy VII Remake's water mode too wet,'" in a tweet.

Sprouse's takedown is two-sided. In one way, he defends the position that developers should give each end of the difficulty spectrum equal attention in order to make gaming more accessible, an entirely justifiable conclusion. On the opposite end, Sprouse's voice joins a growing din of gaming journalism denouncers, who decry the practice on the grounds that its writers are simultaneously unskilled casuals and out-of-touch elitists, overeager for rumorsand too slow on the uptake. In that regard, Sprouse and others should look beyond Fahey's original headline to read his experiences with Final Fantasy VII Remake. The game does have a notorious section in its 40-hour campaign that almost necessitates a difficulty swap from normal to easy modes, between which really does lie an abnormally vast mechanical gap.
One small squabble aside, just about everyone agrees that Square Enix has knocked it out of the park with Final Fantasy VII Remake. Just as the game's story deals with major political and philosophical themes, further discussions surrounding the title are sure to delve into similarly deep and complex topics surrounding the gaming medium.

I don't like name of this game. Why is it called "Final Fantasy VII Remake" while it clearly is not a remake of the entire Final Fantasy VII? Why isn't it called "Episode One"/"Part 1" or something? What would the next part be called? "Final Fantasy VII Remake (give us your money) Again"?

I cannot verify these but I've heard/read that there are actual story justifications and events that make it a pretty big departure from the regular FFVII. If they're doing something like that, I'm OK with episodic structures. Though calling this an 'episode' is weird because this is a fully fledged game in itself.

And that would justify this being priced like any other full game, that's fine. But that doesn't justify this being simply called Final Fantasy VII Remake, which it's not. They could have named this Final Fantasy VII Remake - Midgar (or Episode Midgar or something). But simply calling it "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and leaving it at that is wrong in my opinion.

I don't think the sequel will be FFVII-2 or Remake-2. I think it's gonna have a different subtitle.

Played till Chapter 3. I'm a little indifferent about this much Sephiroth this early in the story but as mentioned before .. they gotta make a full sized game outta what was essentially 1/5th of the original FFVII in terms of geographical coverage, so they would need to bring up later story points earlier in the game along with adding new story beats.

Also, Jessie is horny as fuck for Cloud.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
