Fans Positions

Hey guys! I have a Cooler Master 690 with 7 Cooler Master 120mm LED and 2 Black Cooler master 120mm fans. I have installed 2 Leds at front, 2 above, 1 at back, 1 at bottom and the last one at side panel. This could give me a very decent airflow and VGA cooling but I was thinking of placing a fan near RAM modules. How can I fix a fan at the edge of front 5.25'' bays? I have already used the bottom fan filter for mounting a fan at front.

I am going to buy a Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283 in a week and it comes with a 120mm fan so my last fan still remains WEHLA. Any creative suggestions?

Sorry bro, i saw ur thread last night but coudnt reply cz i was busy with another mod. Anyways, you can install another fan at the edge of the drive bays with the help of some foam/sponge or cork. I dont know what do you mean by edge of drive bays? But i want to give you a good suggestion.

You should install a 120 mm fan at the front of your case at the front of your case at the place of front panels, and another should be installed behind it where the drive bay inclosures end near the RAMs, this way you will get a tunneled air flow effect, one pulls air from the front and the other pull this air and then pushes it to the RAMs, this is superb way to increase airflow, and in this way the air will be flow faster that normal fan configuration.

And another suggestion, for the 120mm fan at the fron u can cut a 120mm hole on a 13cm by 15cm acrylic sheet and install the fan there with its grill and then u should install it on your case.

I really think that this configuration is a great one.

Thnx mate! I was exactly thinking the same way. I am using some cable ties and thick double sided tape for positioning the fan at the drive bays. I have already installed installed a fan at the front panel. Ok...One more question. I have placed an intake fan after the hard drive bays and one on the bottom of the case. Both are really close. Would that affect the bottom fan airflow much?

here is what i would do

LED fans
2 at front
1 at the bottom
2 at the top
1 at the back
1 at the 5.25 inch bays.using what do we say wait lemme take a pic and tell you
as for the balck one well u can use both of them at the side panel...
give me 5 min to take the pic and then upload(using ZIP TIES

they are placed using zipties
i painted them silver so that they go with the silverish inside
