Electric Trimmer vs Traditional Razor Blade Shaving?

Yo, Yo!

This may seem like an odd question for a gaming community forums, but what the hell...

I recently turned 17, and the couple of past few years have been a little different than usual. I grew taller, my voice got graver, and I got facial hair. My cheeks have mild amount of slightly darked vellus type of thin hair, my upper lip area is rather thickly covered in slightly darker and thicker hair, I've got a little hair on the lower lip area too. My chin and neck area connecting with chin is densely cover in both thick and thin hairs.

So, bottomline it looks kinda ugly, and I want to get rid of these hairs. I'm genetically hairy, and I have no idea what to use in order to get rid of these hairs. I was going to use the traditional method, you know first using a gel to cover hair and then use a gillete razor blade to shave em off, but some of my friends said that it will trigger the production of more thick black hair at a rather faster rate so don't try it. like this one.

They suggested me to use an electric beard trimmer to cut it off, but I'm not sure whether it would remove like the hairs completely like a razor, or would leave a little layer left visible? This one tho.

So, I need an honest opinion about this people. I don't have any older brother, so I've got no one to ask except my friends who remarkably don't even have a single strand of hair on their face despite being my age, so which one should I use for the first facial hair removal? An electric beard trimmer or the traditional or electric shaver?

Oh, and I don't wanna go with these fancy electrolysis and other permanent solutions cause at a certain age, I might need to grow a beard so :)

Cheers.

Okay
See dont shave
It will cause more hair to comr plus they will be thicker and harder.
Im 19 and i havent shaved once.
I have a complete proper beard which i shave with a trimmer.
My beard is still quite soft and i like it
So my suggestion would be not to use a blade.
Also if you want to be completely chikna( bcz trimmer leaves very little hair which actually looks good but if u dont like it)
Then get a slightly expensive trimmer
Like the philips aqua touch.
Woh bilkul chikna karta hai
Hope that helps.

Used to shave but then slowly realized that shaving isn't good for my skin and after every shave I look like a kid
So I am using trimmers for years now and no regret and beard looks awesome and sober

There is no difference in hair growth between the two. It is just a myth. Hair usually grows thick with age (depending on your genes).

For me shaving was bad for my skin and too much of a hassle.

A good trimmer gives a very good shave. Not as clean as a razor but still pretty clean.
I have a beard but I use a foil attachment for my upper cheeks and its as good as a razor.

Good Quality Trimmer will save your skin for getting damaged in later years .. it also causes little achne to some people depending on the skin.

Good Quality Branded Trimmer with 0.5 will do great for you and save your skin.

it takes 1hour to fully charge and works for 8 trims which is epic.

gillette razor bro. been using it since i was 15 (18 now). works like a charm. instead of gel use shaving foam that comes in a spray can, and make sure to use after shave as well for a proper finish. trimmers are good for shaping your beard.

My dilemna was I wanted something quick to go about later in life. Bought a Phillips shaver, thought my grandfather used those since the 60's, my father all his 20s and 30s must be something great. Well guess what I had oily skin, disastrous results, red spots on the face, because I have no fat and a very edgy face several areas on the face were left behind. The only two shaving systems I trust and use now are double edge razors with three pass shave or mach 3 for a single pass shave (rarely). Yes it takes time but it's all about shave prep. If you dont have oil skin go ahead use the shaver!

Philips shaver also never worked for me. Caused red spots on my face and also had hurt a lot during the shave.

Braun hair trimmer works great for me for a quick shave and is also durable.
