HEC has regional office in karachi as well

last i heard they were useless as shit but you should still check with them.

I'm sure last you heard wasn't that long ago, since they're still useless as shit. So making a trip to Lahore/Islo is definitely in my future, I'm just curious if Lahore office attests degrees from Karachi or not. Also the HEC website does say that regional offices in Lahore and Peshawar are attesting degrees now, nothing about Karachi.

when i went to the Lahore office, I did see folks from Hyderabad getting their degrees attested. I got my degree attested in March, but make sure you have all relevant documents with you. These guys were making strange objections and refusing to attest transcripts, one of them was the lack of signature of Controller of Examination on the transcript in which case you will need a letter from your university.
There was this one guy from Hailey College of Commerce (if i remember correctly), and on his transcript the "Controller of Examination" was written as
"HC Controller of Examination", his documents were refused stating that COE's signature are not present.

I knew about the relevant documents but yeah the guys at HEC have a laundry list of excuses not to attest the degrees/transcripts, I once read on a pakwheels forum that someone from PAFKIET couldnt get his degree attested because his transcript did'nt say when the course commenced and ended. Retarded doesnt begin to describe the HEC protocols, to be honest. I'm even taking the precaution of bringing my uni acceptance letter just in case. Thanks for the heads up. I will call the Lahore regional office on monday to confirm if they attest degrees from Khi or not.

I started this thread because i was applying for F1 visa, and I didn't know if i should get my documents attested. Almost everyone i asked (friends, teachers, etc) all of them told me that i should get them attested otherwise i wont get visa bla bla bla..I checked the US embassy website and they don't ask for attested documents, but i was spooked enough so i decided to get all of the documents attested. After going through the whole attestation process and visa application process here is the verdict.


THE VISA OFFICERS (@ ISLAMABAD EMBASSY) DO NOT GIVE A SH!T :crap IF YOUR DEGREES, MARK SHEETS ARE ATTESTED FROM HEC, IBCC OR FOREIGN OFFICE HELL THEY DON'T EVEN LOOK AT THEM

so as far as the USA is concerned, getting your degrees, mark sheets attested is just a waste of time and money, specially if you did SSC from a different city, HSSC from another city and your bachelors from another
