Okay so one of my really good friends is worried because he got low grades in his first year exams but worked hard and improved alot within his second year and gave really good exams this year. Now recently he went to Zabist to get admission because we wanted to go to the same place but they denied him admission due to the fact he did not have minimum 50% marks (he had 49.6%). Now this really confused me as well because it says on their website that for admission, minimum 50% HSC marks are required but his second year result isn't here yet but he's confident that he will be able to score atleast 62% total. So 62% is more than enough to get admission so shouldn't he be allowed to give the admission test and then when he submits his HSC marksheet then be checked if he fits the criteria? I also was planning for IBA which requires minimum 60% but mine is only 57% but with this years combined it will be 60%+, so is the same thing going to happen to me at IBA and does this methodology apply to all universities?
