[h=2]Destiny's newly fixed Iron Banner event dated Nov. 18-24[/h]


Bungie today announced that its Destiny "Iron Banner" event will take place starting tomorrow, from Nov. 18 to Nov. 24.



As previously reported, the new Destiny event is for players Level 20 and above, who will lead a Fireteam of six Guardians in the Iron Banner.




"Guardians lower than Level 20 can accompany their more powerful friends at their peril," stated a Bungie announcement. "Prove your might and earn the respect of the Lords of Iron."




Destiny's previous "Iron Banner" event drew complaints because high-level players did not feel sufficiently powerful against weaker enemies. Bungie stresses that "your defense rating affects how you take damage. Your attack rating affects how you inflict damage," but adds that "lower-level players wielding fully-upgraded weapons should still be considered a very credible threat."

Iron Banner is definitely THE BOMB this time. And yes, that sparrow gift is for those who bought the expansion pass. @Fir3d3mon you got the expansion pass right? Apparently it can do barrel rolls! SWEET!

Unless you plan to use it immediately. It's not a consumable item that goes in your inventory and stays there until you activate it. It activates the moment you buy it. So yeah, buy it at the right moment. It stays active for 12 hours.

Is it just me or has better texture filtering and overall clarity in IQ silently applied with the latest update? I can't tell if it's real or the internet speaking in my brain but I've kinda felt so while patrolling Earth for 10 minutes last night.

Several things have been revamped like the material icons and the color tone of the game felt a bit less saturated to me as well on the venus PvP map.

I was playing Iron Banner last night, didn't check anything else. Iron Banner is a definitive improvement built upon community feedback. And the community seems to be having a good time playing it, unlike last time where the level differences didn't matter much.

My Last Word isn't fully upgraded last three upgrades left, though they are unlocked but I don't use it other than PvP hence didn't upgrade it. But now I can see the difference as I can't kill with just 3-4 shots and even when I hit about 4 shots it happens to leave just a fraction of health .. for which a full 5th round is needed.

I am gonna get the gloves from Lord Saladin, gonna keep doing this all week til I get to level 4.

Oh btw the tempered buff's impact will increase gradually as the even comes to the close. So people are suggesting to make the most of it during the weekend as this event will end by next Tuesday.

And another thing for the Hunters, the best shader available for the Hunters was on sale at Eva Lavante's called Thunder Devil. It has cause more or less the same uproar from the players as we saw from the community when Xur brought The Last Word.

Yeah and you can also buy it again after it wears off every 12 hours. Not a one time thing.


Got my 30 Warlock and 29 Hunter. Just need to level up my Titan who will hit 29 as soon as I get him to 20 and I shall get the platinum.


Also, no one play IB alone always with a full fireteam, so much fun destroying shit XD

Destiny developer Bungie released a free demo for the game yesterday, giving interested players the opportunity to try the shooter and transfer their progress to the full game if they buy it.


The free experience is now live for all platforms Destiny is available on — PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Bungie refers to the last-gen version as the Destiny Demo and the current-gen offering as the Destiny Trial. Both of them offer "a sampling of character creation and progression, story mission content, along with cooperative and social activities," according to an FAQ on Bungie's website.



The Demo requires 6 GB of hard drive space, and the Trial needs 20 GB. Neither the Demo nor the Trial supports external hard drives, so the Demo won't work on an Xbox 360 Arcade, a 4 GB Xbox 360, an Xbox 360 Core or a 12 GB PS3.


Progress is maintained on Destiny's servers, as always, so players who try the free version will be able to continue playing within the same console family. For example, they can try the demo on PS3 and use that character even if they buy the PS4 version, but not the Xbox 360 or Xbox One versions. The Trial can be upgraded to the full version of Destiny through a purchase in the in-game menu, but last-gen players will have to exit the Demo and buy a retail or digital copy of the game.


Bungie released a major update for Destiny this week, bringing the game up to version 1.0.3 with a 2.44 GB patch that added features such as extra bounty slots and voice chat for matchmade games. And yesterday, the studio kicked off its revamped Iron Banner event for competitive multiplayer combat.

Now the hunt for the helm will continue.

We were so flawless in last nights raid, no wipes in oracles, no wipes in Atheon either! I got disoriented after the templar dropped the gauntlets

Raid becomes such fun once you grasp the basics of it, it is definitely the best co-op gaming experience!

BTW This week XUR has The MIDA Multi Tool - Exotic Scout Rifle and Young Ahamakara's Spine (badass looking hunter gloves) but still no rocket launcher telemetry, how the hell am I gonna upgrade my Gjallarhorn without telemetries.
I have over 60 coins and I haven't done this weeks nightfall and weekly, thats like 10 more possible coins. I might give the exotic helm engram a roll, don't really like the Light of Nemesis helm which I currently have.
