Whew lads....no next-gen console or game's marketing comes close to this
The game itself? In some ways, it's not even current-gen lol. Night City's population must've gone extinct, because there's barely anyone out on the streets lol. Then there's the fact that there are zero aerial vehicles you can fly in an open world game set in the year 2077. The engine limitations are readily apparent. GTA has had flying vehicles since ages lol.

There aren't any loading screens outside of fast travel. The whole map can be traversed without a loading screen, whether going inside or coming outside of the buildings.
There will however be some loading which will be more noticeable on HDDs than SSDs. Like the transition from the elevator scene to V's apartment in the 2018 demo, or other story/quest segments that might take you from one location in a scene to another, like V getting shot in the motel and waking up in a different place. Things of that nature depending on the quest.
I'm more concerned about how environmental objects can just fade in this close to the player. If this is PC footage, may the force be with base consoles lol. Perhaps the team responsible for the engine's asset streaming tech didn't crunch enough
Some degree of pop-in is expected in open-world games, so it is relative I guess. Let's see how CP 2077 as a whole turns out in that department compared to other open-world games.
Good point. I guess we'll know for certain by next week if prominent journalists tweet about it.
In other news, senior level designer Miles Toast is all toasted up regarding inquiries about cut features and asks the community to wait for reviews from influencers CDPR has loaded with goodies in advance.
As such, it will be up to Chandoo as well as my CriTical analysis to provide a fair and bias-free assessment of the game.
I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform. Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
