FF VII is overrated, they need to make a PC version for FF IX and VIII. :/

FF VIII with lionheart skill vamping off the GPU power ... but bah!! its just we dream off.

Well with no visual, audio or gameplay changes what's the point, when you can still play the original. .
too early to say that... hold your horses pal SE aint a Pakistani company who just sell the same thing with new wrapper claiming "Advance" with bold and red letters.

Minimum System Requirements:

Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit) • 2GHz Processor or faster • 1GB RAM •
DirectX 9-compatible graphic card
If it's the same game without much enhancements then these requirements are much higher than what's actually required

thats a very high requirement for a PSOne game
They probably just listed the most basic setup out there, which is only slightly higher than the requirement for Win 7 :p
No point in listing the old DX5/Pentium 133 requirements when no one is using those systems anymore.

Yea who even uses the old Dual Cores anymore. Most people are using Core2Duos, majority is using i series now. The people who are using Pentium 4s and those very generic Dual Cores, they might not have heard of FF, since all of my friends who have P4s or DCs play Counter Strike/DOTA.

Regardless it would work on Pentium 4 and Dual Cores... :)

it should work on Pentium 2 as i played the original PC port on my Pentium 2.anything more and i can consider this a bad port :D

I too have a Dual Core, but its an i3.

I am talking about those early Dual Cores. I don't think any big gamer would use those ones.

Anyways, the game's been available on PC for a long time. The requirements would've only mattered had this been a remake of some sorts, which it obviously isn't. As already mentioned, the re-release exists only because the earlier version isn't compatible with modern operating systems, and hence people had to run it via virtual Win 98 etc.

The stated specs seem more like a requirement to run Windows 7 reasonably well. Obviously, you aren't going to be able to run the game if you can't even run the OS properly :p
