Cheapest way to get stuff from abroad

asalam o alaikum
I have some stuff with a relative who is living in NC, Usa which i want him to send me here in Pakistan. Now what exactly should I do that I get my stuff without getting hold up at customs or them charging me over and above what's reasonable. and do i get my package delivered at my door? this is my first time so any help will be appreciated. Thanks
p.s stuff include glasses shoes and a used mobile phone

If they're electronics you SHOULD be worried about the customs.
