If increasing budget consider p20 lite. Note 5 pro was to launch in March 2018. Nokia 8 has excellent specs but camera is mediocre

Nokia x6 looks superb but it's not as strong as Nokia 8 and in international market, it's priced as almost half as Nokia 8. I mentioned Nokia 8 because of a HUGE price drop in Ramzan.

Cons of Nokia 8:

*Not a very good battery
*Old design

You can have a look at Nokia 7 Plus. I might buy that for myself.

Pros:

*New design.
*Bigger battery.
*Android One (Timely updates, almost the same updates as Google phones)
*Stable video compared to Nokia 8(4k video on Nokia 8 wasn't very stable. It was shaky)

Cons:
*Gorilla Glass 3 vs 5 in Nokia 8
*Snapdragon 660 vs Snapdragon 835 in Nokia 8

Why I'm considering Nokia 7 Plus over Nokia 8? Because the pros outweighs the cons.

Nokia 7 plus is a good suggestion, do you have the idea of its current market price?

I know a person in Singapore Plaza, Rawalpindi. He quoted me 37,000. In market it will be around 36-37. You can order it directly from Advance Telecom's website. They are offering free home delivery and COD. Over there it's listed at 36,000.

I suggest you go to market so that you can get a screen protector as well for it.

Nokia 8 on the other hand is for 36,000 in market and 36000 on Advance Telecom's website. This is where the main confusion occurs.

Flagship phone (Nokia 8) vs Midrange phone (Nokia 7 Plus) :laugh1:

This is where I'm stuck now.

Well, my budget is pretty high but then again, sometimes I feel like paying double the amount is not worth it(I gues)

36,000 vs 60,000
It depends if the price justifies, If you can get the phone in 36k that can fulfill your requirements then it's not worth to pay double.

True that but I buy phone for a longer period of time so I'd want something that could last a bit. OnePlus phones are very attractive but then again, no warranty for 60k phone.

Nokia 8 is a better choice, chipset is very powerfull and that matters alot, camera is on par with most last year flagships.

Nokia 7 is indeed a very good looking phone but same price as nokia 8 puts it at a major disadvantage.

Man nokia 8 camera has laser focus, ois so there is no way its lesser then nokia 7.

Please tell me when have u ever shot 4k video with your past phones ? My last 4 phones had 4k recording but due to massive file size Ive always kept video at 1080p

Same here bro, i haven't changed my phone since 3 years, and now need a phone for the same time period :p
Nokia 8 shape is not attractive, it's old, that's the only reason i am not able to finalize it :(
Should i wait for Nokia x6 or Redmi Note 5 Pro?

Well you're right but I don't know why the Nokia 8 video was shaky as compared to Nokia 7 plus.

I don't think so. As per my comparison, Nokia X6 looks good, no doubt but that even has a slower processor than Nokia 7 Plus. It has a slower GPU as well. Also lacks aluminium 6000 series body. Records 1080p with front cam vs 2160p in 7 plus and 8. Snapdragon 660 is also a strong processor but anything less than that isn't recommended. Yes, you'll get the X6 cheaper. That's the only benefit of it but I'm not sure if it will last for long with those specs. :laugh1:

Nokia 8 makes it a winner out of all these (If you ignore the outer looks). The price is also amazing!

It's for 400+ euros in the international market while you can get it for 36,000 here in Pakistan. I think this deal is for Ramzan only. :laugh1:

One more thing about the Nokia 8. The battery isn't very cool :tears:

What you have decided for yourself so far?
What about Oppo F7?

Nokia 8. A guy in the market also told me to go for Nokia 8 as it's better and Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 8 at the same price makes Nokia 8 more superior.

I just want to find someone with Nokia 8 to know about the screen on time of regular usage (no games etc) so that I can make up my mind then.

I have Samsung A5 2017 and I'm pretty impressed with the battery. A year ago, it used to give 9 hours SOT and now it's around 6.5 hours which is pretty good. I'd want something similar to that. Not lower than that.

One thing that's holding me back is the battery.

I'd say don't go for Oppo F7. Instead go for Vivo V9 if you want to. It has dual cameras and a better processor I guess. Qualcomm vs Mediatek.

Has a dual camera and aluminium body but no gorilla glass. That's surprising.

In the end, you and everybody knows you can never compare Oppo and Vivo with Nokia.

Captain Wajji correction Nokia 8 is for 34k in market, these retailers get further discount on already discounted prices, Nokia 6.1 in 20500.
