Cell (AA Battery) Charger

Hi All. Yesterday i purchased a AA battery charger from Naheed super market Karachi. I had local charger earlier which used to charge fine but it had no notification option so Yesterday to stay on a safer side i purchased a branded Energizer Battery recharger for rs 1200. It says it auto shutts off when charging is complete, have a alert if u place batteries in wrong direction etc. I left the cells came with it on charge and it didnt turned off even after 20 hrs. The green light was on since i turned on the charging. Im Manual it says green light is a signal of charging. When it turns off it means its fully charged.

Anyway later i inserted my 1000Mah cell in charger. Which was previously charged already, it kept charging for 10hrs.
So the thing is its not turning off itsslf neither it shows the cell is fully charged or not. its same like i have 300rs wala.

Any suggestions what i should do?

You are in Pakistan unluckily. yr its a chinese clone. it won't turn off in 1200rs.
i didn't find your product on search engine... let go.

I am afraid it might not be even charging. Put in a drained cell and see if it actually charges ?

I had a same charger earlier, it was doing the same job. Il go and definitely return.

It is charging but doesnt stop. It keeps charging

Is the cell voltage/type compatible? There might be voltage difference as AAA cells come in 1.5 and some in 1.2 volts
