I purchased his Hard drive yesterday night in 4.5k after mutual dealing, he gave me 1 week checking warranty. I checked the hard drive by tomorrow morning and it gave me bad sectors and I contacted him on the spot gave him calls and messages in evening he replied me and said I'll tell you as I get back home and after that he went complete silent. After texting him again he said the hard drive was working and he'll not refund me the amount. He's giving me lame excuses that "bad sectors also occur as a result of dust or heat up which might have happened"; "What you can do is to format it and make less partitions it will work fine or return it my friend will fix it, cash can't be refunded as the warranty was checking and hard disk works fine it's just the hdtune which shows sectors"; " I don't even remember the serial number" etc. types.

Hard drive is not physically damaged or burnt which makes the checking warranty voids.

I want mods to take actions against him.

that was just the starting of the bad sectors. It gives more after 200gb.

how often do people have to be told to be careful when purchasing items off PG?
1. make sure the seller is reputable... this guy has 0 trader score...
2. check the item before buying if possible...
3. try not to buy items like hdd's which are fragile from PG

i bought a hdd off PG a month back and it's giving me problems but i can't do anything...

as far as this guy is concerned, he must honor his warranty and if people can get a hold of him, he must be made to honor it...

This is so WRONG! I am a newbie with no Trader score but that doesn't mean I'm a fraud. Everybody starts with nill score. So, You shouldn't be telling others to avoid people with less score because that literally makes things difficult for us. No offense.

He meant to be cautious regarding dealing with a new person. Obviously no1 is blaming u for having a 0 trader score but Even if u come across a person who is totally new on PG then even ur advised to be cautious and check the item thoroughly before buying...

@OP-- Y didnt u get the harddisk cheked at the moment of buying??? Since when did u all started trusting new people like ur brothers??
It makes me damn angry whenever i come across these frauds and OP u have my sympathies... But please, just try to be cautious the next time.. We have many many older members here too. U can ask us for an advice regarding what to do, how to deal n what things to chek . We r all here to provide u assistance...

Now lets see if Jshak can help but he is a busy person... It would be hard to get his attention... lets hope for the best...

He had a +1 score and was building a reputation. Secondly, People don't have all day long to sit and check items at people place so the concept of checking warranty arises here so that people can check the item at later time.

The picture he posted is of quick scan and quick scan never shows bad sectors ........ you should have asked him for full scan .....

okay now its not like that... i bought a 500gb hdd from pg.. .and still working perfectly.. shit happens.. but u have to be careful... the guy who purchased it was his fault that he didnt watched that he did a quick scan instead of a that full scan

Now coming to ur second point.. bhai jaan if u are buying a product which is used.. so keep on thing in ur mind that u are almost paying 50% for that product.. if u are so much worried why didnt u bought new hdd from galaxy????
Electronic item doesnt have a single day reliability.. it can fail.... no gurantee of that.. its not the fault of pg...

Please brother dont make such statements that other people feel reluctant to buy things.. u had hard luck.. everybody doesnt have

The only 1+ TS he has at his credit is also from a noob who owns only 1 TS awarded by this guy. So I am inclined to believe that the said TS is fake. If you know where does he live, go there and ask him to get it back and refund your money. Otherwise you are justified to create a scene then and there.

I agree with KrazyHamad.

I have a very old 200+ GB HDD. The Quick Scan on HDTune always shows 0 bad sectors. While the full scan shown many bad sectors. I installed a clean Windows on it one day after formatting all drives. The Windows started acting up the very next morning. So yea, quick scan almost always shows no bad sectors.

I am sorry it happened to you :(

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
