Calling all online pc gamers!

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is fine. The main game I have played in my life is cs 1.6. I have played this game for about 5 years. No doubt its a great game but I am really bored to death of this game now! Every gamer is different but for me.. when it comes to games I learn towards team based war games. The current online gaming scene in pakistan is very stagnant. I hope we can develop a healthy and friendly community and introduce some freshness with new and exciting games. Also have a team speak server where every one can get togather and have fun in a relaxed and friendly envoirnment!

I have done a ton of research about games which are good possible options! And I have found about 3 or 4 games which I feel can give an excellent experience for everyone!

1) Red orchestra 2 (Rising Storm)
2) World of Tanks (Its free to play as well)
3) Battlefield 3 and/or 4
4) Team Fortress 2 (free 2 ply)

The greatest obstacle over here is getting our own pakistani servers where we can get quality pings and great gaming experience. I am sure more expert people are present here who know more about this stuff but as i understand one problem with battlefield is that you need the company which made the game to intervene to provide the server or files or whatever it is. So locals cant provide if they are willing etc. In this regard one thing I have researched myself and I can say for sure is that red orchestra (rising strom) actively encourages third party servers, so immediately I feel we should setup a community around this game. It is a brilliant game and has quality reviews all over. It has good graphics, team work, tactics, strategy and excellent gameplay. All the ingredients you need for a great experience. I am surprised this game has not recieved much attention here along with world of tanks, where as everyone know about the battlefield series and team fortress. etc... Guys these are just my opinions and an attempt to trigger something. All of us are gamers and the fact that you are on this site means we all have passion for gaming.. So hope we can get togather and do something !!! thanks! all comments, opinions and constructive feedback and crictisism is welcome!

ahhhhhhhh...TF2 old great time..just like you once I searched for multiple online games and found TF2 to play with my another colony friend ...accidently we struck to MBL server and things changed all together.....after a long honey moon period the servers were gone and the same charm never came back. period!

Thanks for such a nice post. PC gaming scene is beyond dead in Pakistan as most new gamers are console gamers (those that only play CoD or FIFA) and PC gamers remain stuck on CS/Dota. I myself have been away from multiplayer gaming for a very long time as playing FPS's on European servers is not a fun experience. I've been wanting to play Rising Storm for quite some time now, but didnt have the guts to buy it as already got CS Complete and BF3 and am limited to a total of maybe 3 or 4 servers where I can play without getting kicked for ping or lag ruining the experience.

Rising Storm also would not be fun here as we could not manage to get the numbers needed to play the game. It needs atlest 15

The only proper solution me and a friend worked out was either GTA SAMP or playing games through Tunngle.
Tunngle is actually quite brilliant. With the exception of LAN-crippled EA games (although there are server emulators for them as well), you can play just about ANY game through Tunngle as it emulates a LAN environment through VPN.

The advantage that Tunngle has over steam is that it gives you control over servers, and makes games playable. One of the best shooter experiences out there are games such as UT2k4 and Crysis Wars. Crysis Wars is free to play, although to make your own servers, you will need tunngle. We also played quite a lot of Saints Row 3 coop and it was a hilariously fun experience.

I'll inbox you my steam ID and we can even play a lot of games over that. Left 4 dead 2 can also be a lot of fun.
