Buying or Playing The Guitar

Hello People wassup.......
as i've "stated" in my intro thread.....i am ex-rocker.........so for some odd reason i know alot of stuff about guitars :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: ........i decided that i should help out the newbies:blah2: :blah2: :blah2: .........stop it you blah smileys.........anywayz....if you're interested in buying a guitar, want to play the guitar or just want to know what makes it tick.....post here:blah2: :blah2: ....stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........The Smileys hate me

i tried guitar lotsa time , gawd theyre so difficult to play. i have NO talent.

I like to play the keyboard (no pun intended) instead. It's so much easier! Hope you help people who're obsessed interested in guitars though.

i've got my work cut out for me than........anywayz let's begin.....
The thing is that every newbie guitarist or musician feels that he or she'll be a prodigy as soon as he or she plays the instrument. Everything takes time....the most important lesson i learnt while learning to play the "AXE". anywayz.....no newbie ever has rhythm or timing in the beginning.
When i started playing the guitar, teh first song i tried was Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters"......the song is technically quite difficult......i also recorded my first try....it sounded like i was strangling a cat....

yep I am interested, can you give us the few tips on choosing a good guitar, like of which brand/made and what is the cost of a average guitar etc? I don't know a word about it..so guide us please
