hey guys,
as the title suggests, i've got a problem with the bulit-in SD card reader on my laptop. its the Dell Inspiron 6400.
the reader used to work properly before, and randomly one day decided to call it quits. the problem is that it can read the SD card and shows it my computer, but when i double click/right click>open/right click>explore/right click>open as portable device, it gives me a dialog box saying
'please enter a disk into Secure Digital Storage Device (F:)'.

i'll attach a picture of the dialog box, incase the helps.
i've checked the drivers, and made sure that all are up to date, ive also checked that the lock switch on the card is not on 'lock'. i've tried the card on my other laptop and it opens fine, so it has to be something with the reader. ive also done 'safely remove hardware', so i dont think that might be a problem. the card opens fine when i connect my camera with a usb cable.
but im open to all advice and suggestions. help would be appreciated, knowing the PG community, im sure to get some good advice.
cheers, big ears.
