So I bought the benq zowie xl2546 yesterday, it did not come with an hdmi cable however it had a display port. Now I connect my monitor to a gaming laptop which does not come with a dp port however I read online that i would require an hdmi 2.0 to get 240hz.
i had an extra hdmi cable around but it seems to flicker when i set it to 240hz but works fine on 144hz I am assuming its not a 2.0 Can someone confirm a good quality hdmi 2.0 will do fine and if so can someone share a link to a cable that they have personally used and get 240hz? Thanks

BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 has an HDMI 2.0b port and requires an HDMI 2.0b cable to utilize the full bandwidth of 240hz signal.

There are different types among HDMI 2.0 cables (HDMI 2.0 / 2.0a/ 2.0b), mainly differing in the max bandwidth that they can carry. HDMI 2.0b can have a max bandwidth of 18 Gbps (Gigabytes per second). Not ALL HDMI 2.0b are 18 Gbps capable, the ones that are, have it written on them "18 Gbps".

Get an HDMI 2.0b which is rated for 18 Gbps and get it in 3 meters or less, as 5 meters or longer are not 18 Gbps capable. example :
