Bottleneck in GTA V

Hello everyone.
I had a Evga Gtx 1050Ti FTW ACX 3.0.I paired it with core i5 2500, 8 gigs of RAM. Every other game including this was working fine and giving me close to 60 fps. Now I replaced the GPU with Sapphire AMD Rx 480 Nitro+ 8gb.Now the problem is every other game is working fine (constant 60+ fps) but in GTA V, the pc is having a severe bottleneck. The processor is always on 100% and GPU usage is around 70%. This wasn't before with 1050Ti so what could be the main issue for the bottleneck apart from the processor?

PS : Will be upgrading the system to i5 8600k most probably in a couple of months so need a solution which can last that time.

Any help will be appreciated.

I had the same issue when playing GTA V and Battlefield 1 with the exact same processor. Honestly there's nothing much you can do apart from maybe lowering resolution. I had to upgrade to i7 3770k and then the bottleneck disappeared completely.

I see. So how much the processor costed you?
Should I wait a bit to upgrade to i5 8600k or upgrade the processor in the interim?
PS: My mobo does support 3rd gen as well.

I'm not sure about this, but if you have a pirated copy of the game, some cracks carry crypto mining software with them that run in the BG. I don't remember which game exactly but I also had that issue back in the day.

That just how GTA V is. You won't be getting constant 60 even with an i7 3770.

Source: own the game on steam and said processor.

Looks like driver issue secondly it could be windows, improper configuration although GTA V is a game works good even on 1 GB old school GPU's like GTX 460/550...
Considering other games you are already on bottleneck side with the new GPU you replaced with core i5 2500 better off getting core i7 maybe 6th gen or newer

Interestingly other games are working fine. It's the GTA V which is giving me problems. Will be definitely upgrading to 8th gen i5 in coming months as well

Every open world game will give you trouble with that processor. And even if you do upgrade to core i7 3770 still don't expect to get solid 60s in many open world games including GTA V. However 8th Gen Core i5 will have no trouble reaching 60+ so yes it's a solid choice.

Use updated Patch. This game is troublesome when it comes to stable gameplay and smooth FPS.
Even if other games are working fine on i5 2500k setup, Core i5 8600K is a great deal, especially for the long run. Go, get it!

Actually the more latest patch you have the worse it gets. I have GTA v on steam since the day it released and have been playing since. So I can confirm this. Back in early 2016 it wasnt all that bad performance wise

Thanks, everyone for your kind suggestion.Appreciate it.
I tested GTA V on my laptop (my laptop config is i7 4900mq, 16 gigs of Ram and Quadro k2100m). There was no bottleneck on the laptop. Guess I have to change/upgrade the CPU of my desktop.

So till I get my hands on either 9600k or 8600k, which CPU should I go for till the upgrade?

PS: I have ausus p8q77 mobo on desktop
