AOA. Thanks to Pakiyoungster I finally received my GTX 1060 ROG Strix OC Edition. First of all i was really impressed with the shear size of this thing. It is freaking huge. You can compare it to GTX 980 in size. Now come to the important part. I tried Rise of the Tomb Raider, Ryse: Son of Rome and Batman Arkham Knight. All ran buttery smooth at 1440p with fps ranging from 30-60fps. To be honest, I was really surprised that a gpu which a price range of 30k could pull that off even at every option cranked to the max. It can do 4k 30fps with ease if i sacrifice a few options as with everything set to ultra it stays above 22-30fps but that isn't as playable as 30+fps.

Congrats bro. But why didn't you go for Amd Radeon Rx 480 8GB gpu (it's becoming more powerful with recent Amd Radeon Crimson Relive driver updates, and it has more Vram which could prove out to be handy in demanding upcoming titles).

Not a big fan of AMD. I have used AMD cards in the past but the infinite bugs and crashes in the software were a big No for me. Nvidia on the other hand offers solid software support with very minor issues. So i always prefer Nvidia because of that. Second thing to add is the thermal performance. AMD cards can cook breakfast for you no matter how better the cooler is or architecture of the gpu not to mention the power hungry gpus. With Nvidia Pascal they have really improved the temps as well as the power draw. So i would happily sacrifice a few FPS for stability and power draw.

Very nice card, although I never understand why people say about driver issues, there aren't as such. My past 3 year experience with amd is just as good as nvidia's. Anyways this is a terrific card..., btw which cpu you have?

I have a stock i7 4770K. I have not used an AMD card recently so can't talk about the driver issues.

Great purchase. I wish Nvidia had enabled SLI on 1060s. Still a very powerful card from performance over price factor. Enjoy the beast.

Congratulations dude. In Reviews and benchmarks, 1060 outperforming Rx480 more in Dx11 Games. Mainly due to better optimization.

Strix version of GTX 1060 is a beauty. Can you share few temperature screenshot under Full Load or Gaming Load.
