Well the Title Shows the Question that whats the Main Difference?

I am Admitted in B.Sc Engineering at Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology, Peshawar in Electrical Engineering

But there is also another Program known as B.Tech in Different Technologies like Electrical/Mechanical/Civil...

But in Fees there is a lot of Difference...ratio is 2:6 e.g BTech Students pay 20000/Semester and B.Sc Engineers pay 60000/Semester..

and Another thing is that B.Tech Students also Publish/Say that we are Engineers...

So, Please Tell me whats the Differences and is Here anyone who have done B.Tech???

Please Help me so that my Confusion is Finished...

Ghani Btech is like Diploma......Its nothing close to BSc in terms of degree and education level.....You cannot get PEC recognition with Btech but u can get the registered engineer card from PEC........So stick with BSc.

if you go for b-tech it will be considered as a diploma (as which most technicians have) it is kind of a restricted field meaning that it will be solely related to that field only (like electronics)

if you go for engineering it will be considered as a branch of science (as which most engineers have) it will cover major as well as ancillary fields as well (like if you have done electrical engineering you will have a taste of electronics, power, computer and communication fields)

BSc tech, i dont know

Saw this thread and got some information to share

A friend who completed his B.tech hons and currently doing job in Saudia. Here is what he told me for taking admission in B.tech hons u must have 3 years diploma.According to him PEC is doing everything in their power to take Diploma and B.tech down but whatever.B.tech hons is not on level with B.Sc engineering right now but if u get a decent job than all is well.

B.tech u can do it in less money and u will be working in field mostly still can call yourself engineer.
B.Sc white collar engineer and u need some serious money.
B.Sc Tech dont know.

It all comes down to this

Paisa phenko aur tamasha dekho.

Here in Karachi,B.E. is what we call an engineer and its 4-year degree while B.Tech/B.Sc is a 2-year degree...
That may also be the reason in fees difference...
