Another Case Mod, for "SOMEONE"/ RAHIM...... GUYS I NEED SOME HELP PLZ CHECK

Asalam Alekum PakGamers and especially Modders.

I got another project from "SOMEONE / RAHIM". He bought a new case ( Asus Vento A6 ). Well we coudnt find anything better and bigger that this one in Peshawar. Rahim wanted a CM GLADIATOR but unfortunately he could not find any here.

So now the case is with me for a couple of days for a surgery.hahahah. Here is what it will be a victim of.


Interior Paint Job = Mate Black
Stripes or Flames on TOP and front = Silver or Grey.
Custom Side Panel Paint Job
Colour Swap of Front Panel = Yellow to grey or silver
80mm LED Fan
Acrylic Side Panel = Clear White with chrome lining
Front Drive Bays acrylic = Similar to side panel
Etching on the acrylics = Design not confirmed yet.
Decals.

Now here are some pics of the case before the mod and dissassembled.

I wish it will be a successful mod without any problems inshAllah.

And yeah, RAHIM was a person that was not much fimiliar with modding etc. Therefore he left most of the things to be decided by me.
For now i need your suggestions on what the design or sign for the etching and decals should be.

The client ie Rahim has told me to do most of the mods according to my choice and do what i think is the best.

Now i tought a lot on what the colour scheme should be but i didnt come up with a really good plan. Therefore i now need suggestions from you, on what colour to choose.

I wanted to do a black and silver paint. The front yellow parts should be silver and there would be silver strips at the top. The drive bays would be silver too. And some other parts will be silver too.

Tell me another good colour that would look kewl but should be very eye candyish, because i realized that the client didnt like light and sharp colours like yellow as this case has.

Here is the chasis after 2 coats of primer. I may or may not give it a 3rd coat. Its pretty much even all around but a bit of d areas need sanding 800grit or above. If i remove the primer while sanding then i will give it another coat, if not then this is sufficient,

Still once again i wanna say that tonite my brain isnt working, and cannot think of a good colour plz give suggestions. What abt black and dark grey?

ah well as far S the colour is concerned.
well my personal choice would be
Black and Orange drive bays(orange by i mean see my signature colour)

if u dont wanna go for black then darkish red is the colour for you...
because silver and black although looks good.but not my cup of tea
what i would do if i sent my cast to you
colour
black and orange
black and red
black and royal blue.


if u want u can put orange led
and the acrylic u can get orange colour as well for fron bays if not just paint them orange as well.

@susman, thanx a lot bro. Today i went to the paint shop but there were all bulshit colours. The only colour i liked there was sports carish light blue, i wanted to take that but Rahim doesnt like such colours. The other colours that u suggested are really great but i didnt see anyone of them here.
therefore i got a grey, i dont know, i think its bronze grey. That would be decent and will also go good with black.

I might also do some carbon fibre effect on it.

My suggestions

1- Interior paint should be black
2- Side window should have rounded edges and black rubber bordering
3- Instead of flames or blah ill go with game logos like RE5, COD5, GRID etc logo...if you know photoshop create a a single logo of all these games....

I was thinking about another thing. I went to a car accessories shop yesterday and told him if they can produce VENYL of custom sizes of a jpg image i give them and the said yes they can...so i was thinking why not create a a nice cocktail logo of all the big PC games and turn it into vinyl and put it on the casing??? Its a gaming PC after all..!!

@MJ2k, thanx bro, the interior is painted black and greyish. And the window will contain rubber linings but Rahim prefered chrome linings instead of black.

Anyways as far as flames are concerned, that is no more an option. Stripes might be on the front and the top.

And ya i know about the decals and vinyl. A friend of mine has the machine that cuts decals etc. Today i m gona work on some designs and then i will print them, and ya also etch them on the side window, Coz Rahim liked d etching job.

Alright guys, now the paint job is done and the acrylic is also installed on the drive bays. Only window mod and etching and decals are left.

Now as you can see the case, it has now got a very very decent but really stylish look. And it looks really professional now, therefore I thought that i shouldnt do the custom paint job on the other side panel of the case. i am talking abt the moon,mountains etc paint job.

Anyways that is what i think and i hope you think like that too.

Awesome dude keep up the good work, although gun metal grey (if thats the name of the colour) looks kinda boring, green wouldve been better.. btw this is the exact casing i have how much did rahim get it for?

well thanx bro, its not gun metal its somethin yelwquo bronze or some other kinda bronze, haha. Anyways well blue would have been good but its kinda like too repeated thing. Well i chose this colour becase i needed a dark grey and its cap was dark grey with some glittery effect so i liked it.


But once i applied it on the drive bays i really very liked it. I didnt know it was this colour. It looks awesome on the drive bays but ya on the front it is a bit dull. But still with everythin its looks really neat and stylish.

I am really interested in this project now, coz of several reasons.



Anyways Rahim got it for 3600 without the psu. But i got the 95% same case, abt 7 months ago for 2400. The only difference is that its not Asus and that the front is different.
But this one looks a bit better made.

@Rezon, ya bro i also think that its expensive but here in Peshawar we couldnt find anythin bigger or better for less than this, infact not even higher than this. And dollar rates are now higher so 3k of abt 4-5 months ago (if thats d case with you) is abt 4k of now.

@ mave3, ya doge viper and ford gt's look hahah. This is not my case but Rahim's and he was talking abt buyin some ccfls from you but man they are well we can say that exensive. I am trying to find some led strips for him if not then. U might have another customer.


Guys now i talked with Rahim, and we could find a better design for d side panels paint job/vinyl than these two. Tell me what u think of them, or tell somethin that is better and suites the case.

well ya third one would really suite the theme but i havent asked Rahim abt this and dont know if he like it.

He liked the first and second one and told me to do one of these two.

@MR AFQ well bro, i didnt paint the drive bays black coz i wanted to give it a good contrast. Therefore, i painted the drive bays and pci slots, in the colour that the front panel and the stripes are also painted.

Alright, with the help of your suggestions, good luck and well, hehehe, ma hard work finally Rahim's case is ready to show off itself. I completed the mod today. Other than the custom paint job everything was done. I also installed some led strips for it, they are cheaper than ccfls but do the same job. Their lightning is a darker in the pictures I took.

Btw today i managed to find an n73 and take a bit better pictures so here are they!

With the leds on, but also room lights on.

Now room lights off.

The super sexy etchin, that is ma favourite part of this case.

And ya one more thing, i have added the decal of the dragon on the front acrylic too but have no picture. Tomorow Rahim is going to recieve the case, i hope he doesnt like it but loves it.
