Salam PG Gamers! Today I bring to you something I’ve been really excited about:

Alienware M17 R2 with the Legend design.

Specs:

9th Gen Core i7- 9750H
Nvidia RTX 2070 mq
16GB DDR4 RAM
2TB NVME SSD (1TB x 2)
144hz FHD Display

Photos were taken at the office so excuse the noobness of them.

Congrats!

Never thought an Alienware would look good in white, but the blue accents compliment it so well. It looks fantastic.

Congrats, this new design definitely looks better (specially in white) than the old and ugly R1s and it's pretty light as well for a 17 inch laptop .

Congratulations Its a nice laptop I was eyeing the 2080 with 9900k TOTL version of it but then just went with the desktop instead. I saw it in white as well and they had a bit of protective coating on top which I would highly recommend getting.... keeping it clean over the coming months and years would be important

Hey thanks dude. Will definitely be keeping it clean. Btw, I think you may be thinking of the Area 51m with desktop components. That thing is a beast but too big to carry.

That's right its got a lot of weight....how are the thermals on this thing? Let's say you use it in an air conditioned room or office does it throttle under load ? Max Q doesn't require that much power though but still

Out of the box, it throttles on full load. After a -0.150v undervolt, it’s nicely cool. It averages mid 80s on full gaming load which is in line with most thin and light gaming laptops today. So I’m satisfied with the thermals.

Cook I just watched the Dave 2Ds review on this today and that's exactly what he had suggested as well....happy gaming enjoy

Congratulations mate, nice laptop. I used to get same issue as you in terms of thermal throttling with my Dell Inspiron 7577. Had to undervolt it to -120mV. Now it doesn't thermal throttles if on flat surface.

Got the m15 r2 with the same specs as yours. Man, the thing looks absolutely amazing but my god am I paranoid about keeping the laptop clean.
congrats dude! I’m surprised how nicely the lunar light is holding up. I’ve got some sweaty palms and I haven’t seen a single amount of discoloration.

nice, am inclining to get this but the thermals on this alienware model scare me. some reviews i read and such.
it’s definitely a trade off when you’re looking into the thin and light. For me in Apex Legends, I get between 88-92. I’m satisfied with that considering the R1s were notorious for constant throttling at 100.

Have you considered the Area 51M?

Yeah man, it is holding up but I'd be lying if I'm not worried about the longevity. I have to say that Dellienware did an amazing job with the laptop. It weighs as much as my XPS 15 and that 4k Oled screen is drop dead gorgeous.
